Because standard boxes in Pine Script don't automatically delete themselves when mitigated or strictly stop after a set number of candles without explicit logic, we have to track them using arrays.
This script creates the single candle order block (SCOB) boxes, extends them 3 bars into the future, and deletes them the moment a future candle completely mitigates (closes past/fills) the SCOB zone.

• Dynamic Right-Extension: Instead of a static box size, box.set_right(current_box, bar_index + future_extension) continuously pushes the right edge of the box 3 bars ahead of the live/current candle as time moves forward.
• Mitigation Engine: The script stores every active SCOB high and low price. If a newer candle closes entirely past that zone (below the low for a bullish block, or above the high for a bearish block), box.delete() triggers instantly to clean it off your chart.
• Array Memory Management: It cleans up the script's background memory whenever a box is deleted, ensuring your chart load times stay fast and don't hit Pine Script's maximum rendering limits.

You are completely right to question this, because ADR is just a number (e.g., 40 pips). To make it visual, you have to anchor it to a starting point.
The standard industry method projects the ADR from today's established extreme (the current High or Low).
• Daily Range High (DRH): \bm{\text{Today's Low} + \text{ADR Value}}
• Daily Range Low (DRL): \bm{\text{Today's High} - \text{ADR Value}}
Because the market moves throughout the day, these levels are dynamic until the daily high or low is locked in. If the market drops to a new low for the day, the projected Daily Range High shifts downward accordingly.

This makes a lot of sense. It bridges traditional safe-haven assets with modern DeFi utility. Being able to borrow against gold without triggering a taxable sale or losing exposure is a huge value prop—basically doing for gold what wrapped Bitcoin did for BTC. It’ll be interesting to see what the loan-to-value (LTV) ratios look like compared to Bitcoin given gold’s lower volatility

However, given how hard the bears have been pushing lately, I’m leaning cautious. If this is just a low-liquidity weekend drift, a fake-out above the DP ($60,186) to grab liquidity before heading back to the $58k handle wouldn't surprise me. Hard to argue with the weekly structure right now. If we break below the current $1.00 psychological support, those lower targets at $0.94 and $0.61 are entirely realistic major demand zones. High-time-frame charts don't lie—the lower highs and lower lows have been stacking up. Like you said, it’s a weekly chart, so any short-term relief rallies are just liquidity grabs until proven otherwise. Definitely remaining macro-cautious here.

Everyone chasing that headline is completely ignoring the macro setup. The market is literally coming off a massive weekly slide because the Fed is leaning heavily hawkish, the dollar is sitting at a 13-month high, and the safe-haven premium is actively draining out with the Strait of Hormuz situation easing up.


Any weekend news is probably already priced in, or it's going to get completely crushed by the DXY momentum when the session opens. Buying a gap up right into heavy structural resistance is a textbook liquidity trap. I'm sitting on my hands or looking for a short trigger if it fake-pumps at the open.

Missing an intraday edge just because it runs counter to a higher timeframe trend is leaving money on the table, especially if the risk-to-reward and statistics support the setup. I can respect that completely.
That said, looking at the market structure for this upcoming week, here is my actual analysis of where things stand:

Spot gold managed a decent recovery at the end of the week, closing right around $4,088/oz. The cooler-than-expected core PCE data gave the bulls some room to breathe, causing a minor pullback in the DXY and softening expectations for an aggressive September rate hike

Even with that Friday short-covering pump, gold is still closing out its fourth consecutive negative week, down roughly 3% over the last five sessions.

This week is packed with high-impact volatility drivers, specifically Non-Farm Payrolls (NFP) and a heavy lineup of central bank speakers.
So to your point: I'm not going to marry a blind bearish bias. If the market opens, traps the early sellers, and forms a clean intraday demand structural shift above $4,100, I'll happily take the long scalp. But if it fakes a pump at the open and prints a distribution pattern under heavy resistance, I'm looking for the short continuation.
