you know buddy, as everyone can read, fundamentally trading successfully and constantly is something achieved by yourself, and only by yourself. Confrontation with the others is a wonderful contribute of one s own improvement but let us be honest, how many times this happens. It s a RARE event in your "trading life".
Most of the times, and i can surely say this after joined 3-4 forums in 15teen years, what u read is PURE TRASH, SCUMMERS, MONEY SLAVERY, APPROVAL SEEKERS, FANATISM and EXHIBISIONISM.
Knowledge, awareness, skills, respect and sense of humour are qualities in this field, so what s the inevitable conclusion (and this is like to close the circle and going back to where you start): TRADING is a matter between YOU and the MARKET and if you meet someone who has those qualities consider yourself lucky to receive a boost for your growth.

There are lots of distractions in forums and I feel pity for newbies especially.. What most people share here are indicators, "holy grail" strategies and random charts. Well not a bad thing to do as it is part of the developing process but the amount of time spent on these aspect of trading if channeled into education, psychology and developing the right mindset would transform a lot of retail traders. For me there are few threads where one can learn one or two things from but most come from external sources outside of FF. Well this is one way of me giving back to the community. Don't care who reads but I know my audience and I also post them for my consumption (journal + refresher purposes).
What people fail to understand (my opinion though) is that strategies they spent 90% of their time on makes up only 15% of the trader's development cycle while Risk Mgt is 35% and Psychology is 50%.
