Please refer to the attached PDF in the Post 652 to understand how smGoldenCross Trend v2.2 works and the purpose of the Blue/Red arrows. I have prepared a detailed explanation in the PDF, which should clarify their use and logic step by step. I believe it will help you a lot.

Few suggestions, also requested earlier by George (many times), when posting charts, please try to include the full chart, clearly showing:
Currency pair
Timeframe
Relevant price levels and indicator settings

If only a partial image is shared, it becomes difficult to analyze accurately. Based on the visible price levels, I checked and found that the chart you posted appears to be NZDCHF on the H1 timeframe.

Good day all)) Last time I said that I will not post here anymore but) I continued trading this method. And here are my results since 10.02.2026.
There are 2 screenshots. First is without gold and second with gold. Gold trades were taken according to this strategy too (as I see and understand this strategy) but you can see difference.

This is my first post on this forum.
I'm Antonio. I’m originally from Southern Italy, but I live and work in Switzerland, near Lake Geneva.
I just joined the forum after coming across a thread by George "Swingman" called "Golden-Cross Trading-Idea".
Recognizing how solid the idea is, I immediately dived into it and I’m already on page 28. I’ve been studying and testing the system for five days now, and I think I’m starting to get a good handle on all its features.
Regarding the various indicators added to the chart, I'm unable to see this specific panel (see attached screenshot). Could someone please help me out?

Welcome to the forum, and thanks for your interest in studying the Golden Cross Trading Idea by SwingMan/George.

The AUDUSD chart you’re referring to is the one from my post here.

A few suggestions that might help you:

1. George released the latest version of the main indicator — smGoldenCross Signals_v8.3 on September 10, 2025.
2. Please use the latest indicators/ template from Post # 988 .
3. Study each indicator by adding it to the chart one at a time and observing how it behaves. Try changing the input parameters, especially the boolean options (true/false), to understand what each setting does.
4. The trading parameters and comments shown in the top right corner of the chart will only appear when the required conditions are met. Because of this, you may notice that these parameters appear and disappear.
5. If you cannot see them on your current chart, try switching timeframes. If they still don’t appear, try changing the Symbol/Pair and then switching the timeframe again.
6. Take some time to read the entire thread, focusing especially on SwingMan/George’s posts and charts. Going through it a couple of times really helps to fully understand the concept. The thread is about 53 pages, so it’s manageable.
7. Finally, make sure to practice on a demo account while you’re learning.

Yes, in fact, I’ve now noticed that the panel appears and disappears depending on whether there is a signal or not.
Great, I thought it was a bug or an issue with my platform.
I will definitely continue reading the whole topic, and I’ll surely read the other discussions opened by George as well.

SwingMan is truly someone to follow as an example.
He has done an incredible job with this trading system and, even more importantly, he has shared all of his work.

Hi, I'm also Italian, and I'm studying the method. My positions opened and closed on 03/20 before the markets closed.
To see if the pair is trending, I use the ADX indicator, GGTrendbar at the top right, to see if the timeframes are aligned.
Test performed on 10K DEMO account. Let's see how it goes.

Welcome to the thread.

Good to see you’re testing and sharing your approach, that’s the best way to learn.

Just a small suggestion based on my own experience: I personally have not added any extra indicators beyond the ones originally shared by George/SwingMan. I’ve kept everything as simple as possible, because simplicity really is key with this method.

That said, it’s up to one’s own discretion, whether to use it as it is, add more indicators, or eliminate some.

If you are taking bias from the higher timeframes and trading in that direction, like swimming with the flow of water, the probability of success is generally higher. Of course, there are experienced traders who can trade against the flow, but for newer traders like myself, I prefer to go with the trend rather than counter trend.

If you haven’t already, try to go through the thread especially focus on the posts by George (Only 53 pages). There’s a lot of valuable insight there that will really help your understanding and progress.
Also, try to stick to this method and avoid jumping between different systems. Consistency is very important while learning.

I would strongly suggest taking at least 10/20 trades on demo, strictly following the rules without any deviation. This will help you build confidence and truly understand how the method works.

Take time to understand the logic behind the main indicators of this system, what they are actually showing and why, rather than just following signals.

This Golden Cross method by George is quite different from the typical Golden Cross strategies you might see elsewhere.

Keep posting your charts and progress, we’ll all learn together.

You mentioned that you did a lot of trades on lower TFs for quick learning curve, but recommended higher TFs for steady income. So my question: What is the lowest TF to use for "earn while you learn"?

Thanks for your post and I hope you are doing well too.

I have not been very active recently due to some serious health issues, though thankfully I am gradually improving. I also stepped back from regular posting because I felt I was becoming the main person posting in George’s thread, and I never wanted it to appear that I was taking control of something that belongs to George (SwingMan) and his ideas.

At the same time, as I started sharing more of my own observations and experiences, a few members also started questioning and doubting some of my views. That is completely normal on public forums, but honestly, at the moment I simply do not have the same energy, health, or time to keep explaining and defending every point in detail as everything has been shared in these 53 pages (1052 posts)

To answer your question honestly, whenever I actively trade the Golden Cross Method and work toward prop firm payouts, my main focus is now H4 and D1. Over time I shifted more toward indices and metals rather than forex pairs, mainly because the higher timeframe trends there feel cleaner and easier for me to follow.

I did spend a lot of time earlier trading M5/M30 on demo accounts, mainly for learning chart behavior and improving screen reading. Later I mentally started relating H4/D1 in a similar way, since the structure relationship between the timeframes remains comparable. It helped me slow down and focus more on quality setups rather than constant activity.

Personally, I now feel lower timeframes are useful mainly for learning price behavior, understanding structure, and gaining experience, but for newer traders, higher timeframes are generally much better for consistency and discipline.

What I have learned, and still continue learning, is that the biggest challenge is not finding a method, but sticking to one method long enough to truly understand it. Most new traders (including myself earlier) struggle with shiny object syndrome, constantly changing systems and indicators, which resets the learning curve back to zero.

I also want to say openly that I am nowhere near as experienced as yourself and many senior members here who have followed George’s work for years.
Whatever progress I have made is largely because of George’s selfless sharing, AI accelerating my learning curve, and continuous practice.

I still consider myself a student.

Hopefully George will also release some further updates and enhancements to the Golden Cross indicators/EAs in the near future, which I believe would help many members greatly.

Health and time permitted I will try my best to keep posting and keep thread active.

Come on, let's keep this system alive. I've reread every page several times, and I hope I've understood the method. I've also set myself some strict rules to follow before entering a trade. I entered these two by following the slope indicator with the red down arrow, the red circled horizontal arrow, and the red rectangle indicating the intersection of the 5 and 30 EMAs. I also checked to see if the price was at the extremes of the Donchian channel, and then, of course, the triple time frame had to be in sync. If I don't have all of these active, I won't enter the trade.

I have to try to close the trade without setting a take profit, but let it slide until an indicator changes its state

Any advice or suggestions are always welcome. I'm still studying.
