its not always about following the trend. I'm sure a lot on here will say the same ... money management matters. if your in a trade that will make or break your account.. your trading to big. Don't know if that's what your doing or not but you need to step back and have an allotment for loss. Its a part of this game.

Don't get discouraged and don't give up but look closer at how your trading.

Money management helps and so does the right psychology, but let's not kid ourselves, if you don't have an edge you are not going to make money.

What I did was blow a lot of accounts, spent years in drawdown. It's all part of the journey, you need the screen time to develop your edge.

What is proper edge?? I recently passed my phase 1 and then failed phase 2..I don't really know where is the mistake..

Prop firm rules are very difficult to trade around. I don't want to say too much in this thread because it is focused on EURUSD. You can have an edge but fail in a prop firm because your open position which is profitable moved 1 percent against you (while staying profitable). It's nonsense designed to make you fail. What is a proper edge? Good question, but I can't help much. In my experience everyone develops their own edge, so, like ttt said, don't give up.

A proper edge is basically any system or method you use to determine that there is a higher probability of one thing happening over another. It could be mechanical(technical analysis or indicator) or intuitive (experience and gut feeling, pattern recognition).

First you need to objectively define your edge, then use good risk.management to keep you in the game long enough for your edge to work
Risk comes from not knowing what to do
