I positioned myself short and risk free for the weekend. If anything war related happens and on monday we get bearish i will be in the move. If not my sl takes me out at breakeven. Lets see what happens. (30min chart)

Does your broker honor stop loss settings on the weekend? If this were to gap up (you never know) to, say 1.1570, brokers I know would charge you at whatever the opening level would be.

It does not honor it. So I reduced lot size for this trade. Based on previous weekly gap distances, where price is right now, and how I think the war will play out I am feeling confident enough to keep it on. Thank you for the warning!

If the U.S. launches a ground invasion - oil and gas prices could spike sharply (more than the most recent changes), shipping routes will get disrupted more. Safe-haven assets like gold, the yen, and treasuries could rally. On the flip side: if tensions ease (tbh doubtful), energy prices might stabilize, some recovery for risk assets….and markets could breathe easier. Watching both data and geopolitical signals closely.

That is true. It's not about honouring but when the market opens spreads can and will dramatically increase which can take you SL. If price opens well beyond your SL your order will be executed at the open price and your % risk can dramatically increase. Unless you are a swing trader with a large SL you are best to close your positions before the weekend and reset for the next week.

We're used to weekend tweets. It seems the market will open with a downward gap unless something changes and negates the effect of this tweet—I mean, unless an agreement is reached.

As expected, NFP took my second half out at BE. Made half a percent to get a free look at the upside.

I sold EURUSD last Friday and took profits. Waiting for tomorrow to get new positions again.

It can be verry volatile with trump.There will be economic data next week like always so I think I Wait for that.
Check daily price action with Justin bennet.I like he’s trading style and forecasts.

Due to the current choppy price action, this is the only clear setup I can see.
On the 4H timeframe, there is significant buy-side liquidity (BSL) and sell-side liquidity (SSL).

  1. If price moves down first and takes SSL, I will look for long entries from the support zone around 1.1500 – 1.1480.
  2. If price moves up first and grabs the swing high (BSL), I will look for short opportunities from the 15-minute order block around 1.1600 – 1.1580.

For now, I’m waiting for price to reach one of these liquidity areas before taking any position.

Feel free to correct me if I’m missing something.

The Middle East war remains a hot topic that could impact the USD's performance. The DXY is currently hovering around 100. Meanwhile, the eurozone is experiencing an increase in inflation to around 2.5% due to a surge in energy prices.

While below D1: 1.1544, careful with longs... No bullish breakout on D1 yet... Only H4 shows an early bullish breakout but that is not enough!
