Hi Tyross, forgive my thickness but if you say multiplier of 5 do you mean xx EMA * 5 ? So e.g. 60ema * 5 = 300? Thanks

No trading system can consistently generate profits. A trading system can only work if there are large traders with substantial funds responsible for making the trading system successful. Therefore, following the trend is best because the majority of large traders will follow the prevailing trend. Only 80% of price movements tend to be sideways, and this is where trading psychology becomes a factor in determining whether a trader will succeed or not.
The 'scalping' variant of my setup. No counter-trend trading here, we're sticking strictly to Daryl Guppy’s GMMA rules. I have the 'standard' GMMAs, and in green, the x5 'long' GMMAs. No ichimoku. The TP is tight, with fewer entries, but the position size of each entry is larger than on my usual setup, where I favor average price by scaling into many more, smaller positions. One could draw a micro trendline to be broken by 1 point, use micro-chart patterns, enter upon breaking the high of the previous candle by 1 point, or even buy on the oversold signal of some oscillator... it doesn’t matter. I don't do any of that. The context is what is important to me.
Note: In the 'Super Guppy' version, the author places great importance on 200 EMA. I do as well. This moving average is present in pink on my two setups.
==> In the scalping setup, on the traded timeframe, when the 50 EMA (I did say '50') crosses below the 200 EMA, the immediate trend on that timeframe is considered compromised----> A 'rescue mode'
is then applied: maintain the average net price at an acceptable level to wait for the price to return near the 50 EMA. At that moment, the trade is closed, whether it is in profit or loss.
This approach works very well on M1 and M2 if you have strictly respected the trend. Without this context of respecting the trend (GMMA, 5x GMMA, and 100 SMA), this rescue mode leads to a larger drawdown and will perform less effectively.
Scalping requires stacking a very strong advantage in our favor: the immediate trend. Counter-trend scalping always ends very badly.
In a trend, when the price moves strongly against us, we notice that it makes retest pullbacks quite quickly; that is my 'rescue mode.'
In a counter-trend, it can move in a straight line without a retest for a long time (at least on DAX). We then have no recursive behavior of the asset to hold onto.
