you need to come out of calibration with 8% return....... this is best done using pipmasters suggestion of a high risk multiplier......

if you can achieve 8% with low drawdown, you are almost guaranteed the 30k.......

it is not unreasonable to make 300$ per month on that 30k silver allotment......

But that has always been possible? You can, of course, buy the maximum number of boosters as soon as your Darwin is created.

Reaching the minimum allocation of 30k in DarwinIA Silver depends on the rating of 75. I don't know how you arrived at 8%, but with my own Darwin account, I would have needed far less than that (4-5%).

Anyway, I think that doesn't really matter, since you have little influence anyway. For one thing, you can't guarantee your own trading performance, and certainly not when it will lead to a specific minimum result in your Darwin account.

Then I must have misunderstood something. I thought it had never been any different. Since the introduction of boosters, I've assumed they can be purchased immediately after the calibration phase. So if you wanted to, you could buy 500k AuM (max.) in instant boosters on day one after your DARWIN is created.

Yes, I was aware that the 30k min. Silver allocation is not necessarily achieved in the same month the DARWIN is created, especially if there is little time between creation and the end of the month when the ratings are evaluated. Clearly, the more you achieve during your calibration phase, the less return you will need until you reach the minimum rating.

But as I said, how do you guarantee that? If you could guarantee that you would achieve X return with trading in X time, and not just once by chance but consistently and repeatedly, then you probably wouldn't have to worry about money anymore. The only ones who have some guarantee on their side in this case are Darwinex, who earn money from your purchase as soon as you complete it.

my first few months i really never focused on the 30k...... earlier this year i received the allocation in an account that was not even a month old..... it happened again several times the following month...... and again......

it was then i began to try and understand how did that come to be...... it was not something i was trying to achieve......

But as I said, how do you guarantee that? i can not..... was just saying now i proven to myself it is possible......

as far as consistently and repeatedly, i have said many times and proved it many more, within reason, you can know every trade you will take next week today......

to be clearer, i can open a new darwin today with an intentionally cryptic name...... i can tell you today , within reason, every trade i will make during the calibration..... there will always be a few surprises i can not see today.... so it would be within reason only......

you have said in the past my trading is technical and complex........ you are correct......

as for money, you are correct again......h

Probably not my thing but here is some general info based on phrase "The Average Length Signal Indicator" (which is probably nothing that hayseed meant)
I think hayseed programs those things himself.

The Average Length Signal Indicator (or adaptive MA) dynamically adjusts its lookback period to market volatility, lengthening during strong trends to reduce noise and shortening in choppy markets for faster reactions. It improves upon fixed-length moving averages (SMA/EMA) by minimizing lag and reducing false signals, providing clear trend direction and entry/exit signals.

Key Aspects of Adaptive Length Indicators:

  1. Adaptive Behavior: These indicators, such as Length Adaptive MA SuperTrend on TradingView, change their sensitivity based on market conditions, with lengths often adjusting between 50 and 200, according to this YouTube video.
  2. Trend Identification: The indicator line changes color—commonly green for bullish (uptrend) and red for bearish (downtrend)—and produces buy/sell markers when the trend shifts, notes ProRealCode's AutoLength Moving Average Indicator.
  3. Signal Mechanism: These tools often use a "signal moving average," which may diverge from price in ranging markets to prevent whip-saws, according to LuxAlgo's Signal Moving Average indicator page.

So registering early ensures you have maximum time to meet the minimum trading requirements (minimum 15 days / 25 trades) and generate enough performance data (track record) to be eligible for that month's allocation.

When I registered my first DarwinexZero account last year in August, my goal was to get an allocation as quickly as possible. At that time, I hadn't even considered PA or Booster allocations, as they obviously mean additional costs. But I quickly realized that this is already is very difficult to achieve. Just to cover the monthly subscription costs, a 1% return on investment is needed with the DARWIN (based on a minimum allocation of 30k).

I held the Darwin account until the end of November. So, a total of four months, and it didn't reach the minimum allocation of €30k despite profitable trading throughout those four months. The end result: I spent €38 over four months (€152 total) for practically nothing (hot air). Then my Darwin account was even deleted because I was just a few days late with my payment. I would have been better off buying some news shoes with that money.

By "guarantee," I mean exactly that. You have no guarantee. You can only do everything you can to increase the odds in your favor, but even that could be a fallacy.

I currently don't know if it's worth it for me to start another DarwinexZero account only to end up paying fees for months again and ultimately not having made any profit (the actual goal). So I was thinking of a classic Darwinex account, since at least there are no additional monthly fees, but then you also don't have the option for additional virtual allocation, only DarwinIA.

I'm not even sure how helpful all these technical approaches, including indicator systems, really are anymore. The markets are showing pretty clearly right now what's REALLY driving things (a clown as president who changes his mind every other day and thus apparently has a brutal influence on the markets, wars everywhere, crises, inflation, etc.). Nobody seems to give a damn about any technical analysis tools.

I know his approach is not technical analysis any more. It is statistical analyses and probabilities. It is about being in the right side most of the time and maybe all the time. I'm surprised AI hasn't been extensively used to figure out such info automatically. Maybe it is by the big players. There is I think a lot of info that can be extracted from the interactions of indicators for example, if you use ZZ as a base, from point to point, within that length, how does HMA's signal enters and exits? Same with other indicators. Then a sweet spot to enter or exit can be determined.
It definitely needs coding and very fine custom coding, not the type you pay a Fiverr's coder to make.

Looking at all the Darwins, it seems there isn't a single one that manages to achieve a certain minimum monthly return over several years, even if the total return might still be profitable in the long term. Not only when I look at the Darwins' track records, but also on other platforms where you can find transparent/verified track records of traders, such consistent monthly or quarterly minimum returns are not to be found. So how realistic is that if even the very best can't do it and how can one achieve a certain minimum return from trading that allows one to truly live 100% on it and cover costs that are due on a fixed monthly basis?

One of the best DARWINs (at least measured by longevity and total return) has managed to be profitable every month for at least 2 out of 12 years (2015 and 2022). Currently, it's even been in a drawdown for 3 months already.

Unfortunately, there's no filter on the Darwinex website that allows you to filter for DARWINs that maintain a certain minimum return (X) under a drawdown of X over a period of X, but I don't think there's a single one that can demonstrate either 2% or even 1% return under a maximum drawdown of say -10%, month after month over several years. It would be interesting to see if such a thing even exists.

Yes, I've always believed that a trading approach based on statistical probabilities and extensive testing would be the best way (regardless of what ultimately triggers an entry or exit signal for an individual trade – whether it's technical indicators, volume, or even just the time of day as the sole criterion). Currently, I'm not so sure anymore. It seems incredibly difficult to find such an approach that also delivers certain minimum results within a specific timeframe and with a specific drawdown, and does so consistently over the long term.

Perhaps what's needed isn't a single "holy grail" system, but rather a diversification of various trading systems that complement each other. Essentially, a portfolio approach. I don't really want to trade manually anymore. I tried manual scalping for a long time, spending hours a day staring at the chart, only to end up not only wasting a MASSIVE amount of time but also making no money. Furthermore, this type of trading can have an extremely negative impact on your health over time. It's not sustainable. That's how it was for me at the end, at least, where I thought, okay, no, this can't be right, you have to try to automate things somehow and spend as little time as possible (ideally no chart time at all), especially if you believe in statistical probabilities and that the next individual trade has no influence on your long-term performance, you have absolutely no control over the outcome of a single trade and it cannot be objectively repeated day in and out; you're just not a robot. Emotions and daily situations make it impossible to perform the same actions over and over again, thus ultimately ruining any statistical edge.

Not claiming that I am over the hump for consistent profitability but one thing that helped me (while being in your situation) was to try to do one thing and only that one thing. That was, can I make just $1 per month consistently? What can I do that turns in $1 every month no matter what uncertainties the market throws at me.
I know that it sounds very simplistic cause you can make that in a second but will you keep it by the month end if you keep a whole month.
Making just a dollar at the end of the month sure beats being in negative by thousands, doesn't it?
Once you achieve that, then it is a matter of scale to make more.
In thinking along those lines, of course I ended up making more than a dollar and with more frequency than monthly.
So, for me it was about uncluttering and returning to basics to allow me see more clearly.
Maybe give that a try if you think there is a merit to that approach.

Yes, I've thought along those lines too, but I'm wondering if this isn't a completely different approach to trading. As I understand it, it would mean trying to make $1 every month without considering my risk, time commitment, or even following a fixed trading system that would provide me with specific entry and exit signals? So, basically, chasing profits at all costs (outcome-oriented) versus trading my system and letting the profit take care of itself (process-oriented).

Of course, I could try to reach $1 every month, but then A) At what risk per trade, day, week, month? 50 cents, $1 or even risking $100 for that? B) What is my entry/exit signal for a trade (do I even have one of just roll the dice), and what do I do if the first trade immediately yields $1 and I reach my monthly goal? Do I stop for the rest of the month, even if my signal occurs 10, 20, 30, or 100 more times this month, or do I let my system trade each of these following signals and take what I get in the end? C) How much time will it take me to earn $1 every month this way (time is money)?

Haha, those are the things you will have to look for and decide.
Make a demo for $10 and see if you can make $1 with it and if you lose the account, make another with $100 and do the same until you figure out the risk ratio that suits your style.

entry/exit signal is decided by your method. I can't tell you that otherwise you might as well just copy my trades.
if the first trade immediately yields $1 and I you reach my monthly goal, continue until the month end. If after as many trades that you can make, your acct is positive by $1, congrats cause you have surived a month of constant trading. It's like you got free rides at the amusement park for free plus you got a dollar coin as souvenir.
If you make $30--50 or whatever, then you are the man and now you can open an acct 1000X bigger and make that much more profit. If you lose, you go back to your drawing board cause despite your efforts and a month at it, you couldn't make even $1.

How much time will it take me to earn $1 every month this way (time is money)? Yes it could take a whole month to make $1. That is why you are doing this whole exercise. It is to find out if your chosen enter/exit choices can yield positive results consecutively. You can shorten the time to one week or one day or one hour if you want. if you choose the 1hr tf and make $8, then it is your hourly minimum haul. If after 8hrs, you consistently make $5, then multiply that bby the amount in your real account. If after 8 hrs, you constantly are losing money, then your method sucks.

Worked for me. Not saying it will work for you.

Thank you, so I basically understood it correctly, and that's essentially what I'm trying to find. A trading plan that would allow me to achieve a consistent minimum return within a specific timeframe while also adhering to a certain risk limit and every entry/exit signal that appears is executed during that period. So far I just haven't been able to find anything like that, hence the question of whether it's generally not possible (i.e., my expectations don't match reality) or if it is possible, why I can't find it. Like said, among the 11k DARWINs, I don't see a single one that consistently made 1R every month while simultaneously experiencing the maximum half in drawdown. Not even per quarter. If it's not possible to make 1R every month or quarter without risking more than 0.5R, then I wonder what a realistic return/risk ratio would be, over what period of time and how one can live off their pure trading performance if the payments are due monthly or quarterly, but one cannot assume achieving such a minimum return over this period, consistently and for many years (ideally for a lifetime, as long as one needs/wants to live off it). Even on a yearly basis, it doesn't seem realistic to maintain a minimum profit every year with a certain risk level. The DARWINs, which already have a track record of over 10+ years, have all had individual losing/minus years.

average return per what..... month.... year.....

looks like once someone has real investors, darwin has a estimated projection plan available.....

just set what % you figure on making that month and it calculates it for you...... that's several months away for me.....
