sat it out for a about an hour .. now looking for new long scalps.

I'm 17 scalps in .. not trying to give any back but there is room for a few more I think.

I'm still long on my leaning.

New short at 1.1627 - couldn't watch before and don't know what exactly happened.

Update: That's all I need to know, will add more shorts.

"Iranian state-linked media said today that US president Donald Trump postponed threatened strikes on Iranian power facilities under Iranian pressure, rejecting his claim that he ordered a five-day pause after "very good and productive" talks.

State-linked news agency Fars, citing a security source, said there had been no direct or indirect communication with the US and that "Trump backed down after hearing that our targets would be all West Asian power plants". The remark refers to Iran's threats on Sunday to destroy oil facilities and other critical infrastructure across the Middle East "in an irreversible manner" if the US attacked its power plants.

The Tasnim news agency, which has ties to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), also quoted a source denying talks and said Iran's "credible military threat" — and pressure on financial markets — drove the US decision. "With this kind of psychological warfare, neither the strait of Hormuz will return to its pre-war conditions, nor will there be peace in energy markets," the source said."

I love it when trump lies.. or tells the truth.. or ... opens his mouth best market mover out there. I'm at 20 scalps this morning and I'm done..

Well, the market has clearly announced who they believe. It's indeed laughable to think Trump would blatantly lie about speaking to the Iranian regime. Even in war both parties speak directly and through proxies. There are interests on both sides and both sides want to present a story of strength to their respective supporters so you must read between the lines.

When the news came out the Iranian foreign ministry denied it, but clearly, the market believed Trump. The previous high at 1612 has been smashed as we speak.

Guys, keep your biases under control. Just trade what you see.

I think Trump’s kids have already sold off the oil they bought before the war. And our friend Trump just did them another favor by creating a scenario like today’s, allowing them to restock.

Unfortunately if you want to do fundamental analysis right now, it's hard to avoid politics, In particular, Trump announced a 5 day selective ceasefire due to "peace talks", but Iran replied that there have been no talks, essentially confirming this was an entirely one-sided announcement. What it does mean is that there is motivation for peace from US, but doesn't necessarily mean the situation is close to it.

I am happy I got my close above 1.16, and but I am seeking a sell to 1.14. From a technical perspective, it's not hard to make the case that we are at the top of that range and at a fairly major supply area. Of course in reality, this will be determined by politics and announcements throughout the week and unfolding events, that is inevitable. Small positions only.

There is a good buy set up forming within the 4 hour fair value gap, if you look closely, the price is already at the discount zone, previous candles didn't break above the fair value gap. I don't know how the fundamentals may play but I may wait for it to buy upto the premium zone
