Hello .
I have a 1min trading system based on Price Action and Williams Percent Range (WPR) indicator.
in Last month it made more than 100 % profit with 12.87% drawdown.

Good day. Do not know what is the core of this strategy but what I see in myfxbook is (it is my personal subjective opinion):

Very high drawdown: 45.39%. This is already a level that is difficult for most investors to tolerate.
Extreme leverage: 1:1000. Such leverage sharply increases the likelihood of severe drawdowns and rapid capital loss.
Poor profit quality: Profit Factor 1.14 and Sharpe Ratio 0.02. This means the strategy is profitable, but the amount of risk taken per unit of return looks very poor.
The average loss is much larger than the average profit: the average win is $50.19, while the average loss is -$79.97. This is an unpleasant profile; it usually means the strategy can spend a long time “picking up small gains” and then give back a large amount.
Very high trading activity: 4,620 trades and 305.47 lots in just one month, and 1,278 trades in one week. This kind of model is often very sensitive to spread, latency, and real execution conditions.
Trading metals, including XAUUSD/XAGUSD: gold and silver can make sharp moves, and in combination with high leverage this becomes especially dangerous.
The account is already well below its peak: the maximum was $62,743.89 on March 17, while the current balance is around $44,012.80. That is a significant drop from the top even without taking the historical maximum drawdown into account.
Negative pips despite positive profit: over the year, the page shows -288,607.6 pips while the monetary result is positive. This alone is not a definitive red flag, but it looks unusual and may point to a specific, potentially fragile position management structure.
These violent delights have violent ends.

I appreciate Your very constructive review. All You wrote is acceptable and clearly explained.

But, I want to highlight some facts which can describe the strategy.

First of all the profit of more than $20000 is done with $20000 deposit. Change that deposit to $100000 and then we will have totally different view. Drawdown will be around 10% and the profit on monthly bases will be around 20%. I think these two values are very acceptable even for most demanding traders. If You go to Drawdown tab on myfxbook chart You can see 12.87% drawdown, not 45%

In this example we have one EA with two setups running at the same time. Majority of trades comes from 1min chart and that is the reason why we have many trades with poor structure. The other setup is on 5min chart and the results of that setup are more conservative. The EA can work on every timeframe You want and the results depends on timeframe.

In this example I wanted to show that even in 1min timeframe we can have consistent profit on the long run. The EA passes the backtest from 01.01.2025. till today with "everytick based on real ticks" data and with delay of more than 50ms.

The overall idea came from Upwork where one of clients asked for scalper with many trades based on 1min chart. That is the reason why I attach the EA on 1min chart.

I will continue publish the results on daily level.

I noticed that your maximum drawdown (DD) is around 45% on a demo account. If you are confident in your strategy, you should consider trying a cent account. In the real market, there are many unpredictable factors such as slippage and spread widening that you don't fully experience in a demo.

I respect Your thoughts and I'm aware of it.
In the EA I can choose should I limit the Margin Level or no (in USD$).There are several ways to prevent indispositions such as:
1. Choose the time of trading,
2, Avoid the trades with big spread,
3. Sound alerts when trading signal comes,
.......
This way I want to show the full power off the EA with out any restrictions

Also the average trading time in the strategy is very small, so when the EA comes to situation when DD is big we can track the trades and react according to it.

In this sample I add 1min trades, but if You trade on 5 or 15 min chart there is no such big DD but also the gain is lower.

Interesting journey, I'll definitely be following along.

I'm building two EAs myself: One based on a custom momentum/volatility oscillator for BTC scalping (Asian session only) and a hedge-style system for Gold, but with a much less aggressive approach.

Since you're running both setups simultaneously (M1 and M5) with all positions open, how are you managing overall exposure? Do you have a combined max drawdown cap across both, or does each setup have its own independent risk limits?

Hi @BellPepper.
Regarding risk there are two ways to manage the risk.
First solution is managing Margin Level on account level, so when overall margin use is greater than certain amount (in USD$) we do not open any more trades.
Second is on EA level where we can manage used margin by EA and according to that stop trading or hedge trades in the way to use reverse signals.

Makes sense.

Based on your actual trades, I see you have dynamic lot sizes for both time-frames.
Do you have data/results separate based on TF? It would be interesting to see separately how each TF performs.

At the moment You can make a report in Excel format and filter the trades. During the day I will publish reports for each EA separately according to live trading results and in following posts I will try to explain trading and money management logic

For every trade in Comment column Yoy can see Symbol + Time frame (1,5) in minutes and Magic Number. That should be the filter option for trades

What min account balance and leverage does this EA need to perform at the same level, and not restrict any trades?

This live trading started with 200 Dollars. After a month and three days equity is 518 dollars. Broker is Roboforex, leverage is 1:1000 and it is Cent account. Yes, it is a risky strategy but the profit can cover the risk in a few days and You can withdraw it and trade with zero investment. I would suggest 1000 or even 500 dollars to trade with less risk and almost with 90% confident.
Also, the strategy works best on trending market and that is the reason why it is successful in gold. Ranging market with low amplitudes is not suitable for strategy. According to that my next step is to attach some reverse strategy in the EA , like grid, for ranging market.

Of course, the hardest thing will be to find the criteria for ranging and trending market

Regarding Your momentum/volatility oscillator. in the past I was thinking about developing that, but during the time I realized that it can't be the universal indicator and it is not suitable for developing a universal strategy for every broker.. Every broker filters the results during the volatility period and the results can vary a lot. That is the reason why we need to be cautious in choosing Volume indicators for determining trades, specially in 1, 5 or 15 min timeframes

I'm building the mean reversion scalping EA for BTC only, focusing on the Asian session. I don't think there is an EA that could work for any pair, any session, .. And if it is, I definitely want it!

Do you monitor trades and intervene on drowdawns, or just let the EA run?

In this particular sample trades the EA is opening and closing the trades without my manual interventions in order to see how much it can bring.
Regarding the EA with multiple pairs and multiple strategies I have a template with 29 pairs which can run simultaneously, something like this:

We can choose which pairs we want to trade, trading time for every pair and also every pair can have it's own strategy
Also we can input the same pair multiple times with different settings or strategies.
