How can this be possible, the TP is 15 pips and the amaount of money is 9 dollars and the Sl is 14 pip And the dollar ammaount is 10 with all the costs of commisons this cant be possible, can someone explain to me

Isn a raw spred i pay coomision of 0.70 on 0.10 lots for spread od 0.5 why is the sum of money for 3 pips different thats 3 dollars it can be
i dosen make sense, please someone explain or is some mistake or is some robbery hahahahahah

Why you don't learn, about spread, commission, how much cost 1 pips etc.?

I am trying to run a backtest on IC Markets MT5 (the exact same backtest I have run hundreds of times in MT4 from the same broker) and it is throwing this error:

"ONLY POSITION CLOSING IS ALLOWED"

What is this about?
Does anyone know why I am getting this error?

OK, so I did a little bit of research and it turns out the problem was very simple to solve...

MT5 had another set of symbols than MT4 (mt5 are with a suffix), once you use those it runs as you would normally expect

Hope this helps anyone running into the same issue

The difference comes from how spreads and commissions are calculated together. The spread is variable and may not always be exactly 0.5 pips at execution, and the commission is charged separately per trade.
