Frankly speaking, I’ve learned the hard way that music while trading is more of a distraction than a boost. At first, I thought it kept me calm, but in reality it was like a sugar rush- fun for a moment, then leaving me foggy when I needed sharp focus. I remember missing a clear breakout once because I was lost in the rhythm instead of the chart. That stung.

Switching to growth podcasts changed the game for me. Instead of chasing vibes, I started feeding my brain with ideas, strategies, and perspectives that actually sharpened my decision-making. Trading is already a battle between perception and reality, so layering music over it just added illusion. Listening to discussions about market psychology or growth principles feels like I’m training my mind while I trade, not numbing it.

Recently, I received a lecture from someone because in one of my responses, I began by say "Don't forget that...

The particular lecture was: ..."Avoid negative engrams......

That advice is based on a book by the founder of a semi religion called scientology.

It reminded me of Michael Buble's song titled "Save the last dance for me". In that song, one of the lines is:

And don't forget who's takin' you home....

I guess Michael Buble never read Ron Hubbard's book.

If I had to respond to Ron Hubbard's engrams scheme by using a song: I gotta do it my way or no way at all


To see how well engrams work, you only need to look at the private lives and relationships if the scientology poster boys such as Tom Cruise.
