It's too early to say for sure, but an upward correction and price stabilization wouldn't surprise me. As we saw before the war in Iran, prices were already stable, so if we remove the Iran factor from the equation, we should return to those price ranges.

Hold your ground to yesterday high and wait for a 15mins candle close above 1.16550 or close all longs if we get another 15mins close under 1.1625.... my first target is 1.6800.

Another Iran headline just crossed the wires suggesting Tehran would be willing to abandon its nuclear program in exchange for a “lucrative offer” from the United States. The headline briefly pushed EUR/USD higher which I used as an opportunity to fade the move and initiate a short position.

In my view, the statement lacks credible substance. It looks more like a desperation signal from the regime rather than the start of any meaningful negotiation process.

At this stage the issue is no longer about tactical concessions or short-term bargaining. The underlying problem is structural and political, and any durable resolution would likely require a fundamental change within the Iranian system itself. For that reason, headlines like this should largely be treated as noise-driven volatility rather than a genuine shift in the geopolitical outlook. While markets may occasionally price in hopes of a rapid de-escalation, the more realistic scenario is continued headline risk and prolonged uncertainty.

From a macro perspective, a prolonged period of geopolitical instability in the region tends to be structurally more negative for the Eurozone than for the U.S., given Europe’s greater sensitivity to energy prices, trade disruptions, and regional spillovers.

As a result, my medium-term bias on EUR/USD remains bearish as long as this geopolitical backdrop stays in place.

As a rule, when news is insubstantial, such as in this case, prices always return to where they started as happened with yesterday's news. In this case, it would have to fall back again to 1.1595 and then reassess.

Set stop at BE just in case otherwise will look for closing it between 1.1580-60 and going there for a long scalp. That's my plan for today.
