Key aspect to time is 1 year = 256 trading days = 16 x 16

You might say but a quarter is 65 days not 64 ... So I just start trading on day 2 of the quarter then everything is fine.

So 16 days repeats 16 times gives one year.

16 trading days gives the perfect cycle to look for clues and turns.

Thank you very much. I managed to get the whole year into 16 equal parts or very close to that.
2 parts in the 1st 3 quarters came out as 17 days.
1st chart is the first 3 quarters
2nd chart is last quarter and one part came out as 17 days too.
I put lines for the 1st quarter of this year (2nd chart) but with the correct dates the 4 parts are all 18 days not 16. Working on a solution to this. I can put each part to 16 days but then the date will not be March 31st for the end of the quarter but March 22, I think its an MT4 problem. 3rd chart all are 16 days now. see how it goes.
Im thinking to divide each quarter into 16 too.
Then 1/2 a quarter into 16 x 2 days and the other half into 16 x 2 days.
From reading some of your posts 16 hrs and 48hrs are good cycles too.
(48 is the hours in two days, usually it works with the rule of 3 namely 48/3 = 16 hour cycle)
4th chart 16 hrs marked out for the last 4 days ending today.

Trying to organise it to suit ianlikesgolf .... he's in Japan so don't want him having to get up too early or stay up too late. I'm a night owl and usually up till 2 or 3am

Sunday night in UK about 10-11 pm UK time thank you, that is good.
Its 8.13 am as I m writing this now, so must be 11.13pm there now.

AU this week on H1. interacted well with green lines which are weekly highs lows and mid
and white lines which are daily highs lows and mid
also went well with the 2 day cycle split up in 3x16hrs shown by the number 16 and the little thumbs up arrows.

Thanks alot Ian for sharing all this and hopefully you keep printing and we keep learning from you but a question to ask is how we're you introduced to gann and how you got your basics right first as I think for me learn how to use these tools that you are using I first have to get the basics correct..would love to hear from you about it
