DislikedI've been with IC Markets for a while, they've always been pretty good for me. I mainly trade major forex pairs and the spreads at ICM are great. For context I'm from the UK myself.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Trders from UK are lucky as they have a list of great brokers regulated by the FCA. If I were in the UK, I would go for IBKR or Darwinex. IC Markets is a good choice too but refrain from trading during the volatile hours as there are several complaints of bad quotes and slippages.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Any others you recommend? I'm getting to the stage where I want to diversify my personal accounts more.Ignored
Disliked{quote} You can try Pepperstone and FusionMarkets. Other good options could be eToro, IG and FXPro.Ignored
Disliked{quote} yes give a Try to Pepperstone, IG Markets, CMC Markets, and XTB UK good mix for active trading, research, and ease of use under FCA regulation.Ignored
Disliked{quote} I am a little jealous. Stuck with US brokers and their weak leverage / fifo. I spent some time with the shady brokers willing to take on US traders, but was never sure if I'd ever get any money when the time came to withdraw. Count yourself lucky if you have any more than three brokers to choose from.Ignored

Disliked{quote} Yeah US regulations make it difficult but those restrictions are at times helpful as high leverage or too many positions stacking up end up in losses.Ignored
Disliked{quote} It's more the fifo that bothers me as my risk profile doesn't really push the margin requirements. Why should I have to close a sweet long term trade to cash in on a day trade? Makes no sense to me.Ignored
DislikedDid you personally notice any real difference in execution quality or slippage between these brokers during high-volatility sessions (like major news events)Ignored
DislikedWhen you were comparing these brokers, what mattered more to you in real conditions execution consistency or cost efficiency? I’m asking because sometimes spreads look great on paper, but during volatile sessions the real difference shows up in slippage and order fills. Curious what your actual experience was.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Execution consistency is of course a bigger barometer for me. Also, spreads matter a lot but for scalpers and high frequency traders. For day traders or swing traders, it still matters but not too significantly.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Yeah, I tested these brokers during high-impact data releases. The slippage was not too big but the point is, this is variable and different for each event. Overall, the spreads don't go too wide and order execution remains fine.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Exactly, that’s what I’ve noticed too. Even if slippage isn’t huge, it can still affect trade outcomes during really fast-moving events. I usually try to factor in possible slippage and adjust my stop/entry levels a bit during major releases, just to be safe. Do you also notice certain brokers handle specific news events better than others.Ignored

If I had to pick quickly:
Not a recommendation, just how I’d narrow it down if a friend in Germany asked me “ok, who should I actually try in 2026?”.
Best move: open 2–3 demos, check spreads in live market (London/NY), test withdrawals with small amount, then decide.
DislikedEU region is too sensitive when it comes to regulation. Loosely regulated brokers may not be able to operate in the region. Offshore brokers could work but traders may not be secure in such an environment.Ignored
