The consensus is bullish long term yes.
IMO this pair is going to continue higher and higher for similar reasons to what you have mentioned. But we do have to account for the abnormality of the size and speed of the move. When price is as high as it is already sometimes the risk:reward isn't worth putting in longs. There is also further volatility with regard to interest rates, Trump isn't one to keep his word - so price is currently waiting for the actual news to come out. There's a chance that interest rates don't go down, and so we will see a bearish correction if that's the case.

The nature of the beast we are dealing with here is beyond our actual comprehension... We try to "predict" direction but it's really nothing more than chart astrology. Regardless of bias, it is helpful to see everyones perspective - even if they end up wrong.

Quick Weekly Outlook

  1. To keep it simple: watch divergence forming and telling us that the rise is likely to be temporary!
  2. Stick to bulls until you see weakness (bears will probably show the closer we get to the 1.1960/80 block)
  3. Nearest support sits at channel's median line area: ~1.1850...
  4. Beware: The spike from months ago (~1.1919) is now affecting bulls...

If bulls can't climb above this channel and get stuck around 1.1934, bears will probably try to push this back to median line area for a retest around ~1.1880 area... Step by step!

The US dollar index weakened again. The DXY is currently at around 96.877, down from around 97.973 previously. News of the Bank of China reducing its holdings of US Treasuries could gradually weigh on the USD.

Once above 1.1920 I'll add another position. I started re-adding after the pullback at 1.1912
Edit: If she drops to 1.1884, then I'll exit the last few positions and keep my 20% live until 1.1854

Have not been active on here lately as Ive had lots going on, here my trades for the last 1-2 weeks, My original tp for the short was 1.17677, I closed the short out a bit above that to be safe, my pending long was at the same level as my original short tp, heres how its played out, +130pips from the short, and I am up +140 pips so far from the long, been focusing more on swing trading more and holding multi day positions as it has given me the highest roi so far so will continue to do so then focus on small intraday set ups. I am holding my long till 1.121000 probably, will take partials when we reach 1.120x

I disagree market structure looks to me to only take shorts. I think it should run down to 1.1720 level before attacking the 1.2082 level

Agree on whipping the weak Longs here but there are also bag-holders looking Left on the chart that are also being manipulated as Big$ distributes shares they accumulated at the bottom of this range unless they are adding to the current holdings to push past recent highs last month. Either way it makes no difference if you just "Follow the money".
