good point is your volatility meter. i use monthly and weekly (AMR&AWR) for this.

i went easily within 5 weeks from $500 to &1270, using microlots 0.01 and maximum 25-30 positions per pair (EU,GU&UJ). a 30% DD was my SL for the whole account. and this hit me two times last week.

i am now back to $500, so no loss, learned a lot and start next week new and fresh or when i finished my analyses from mistakes.

Hi, I’m looking for an indicator that counts open positions and shows me where my liquidation will occur. I trade with a small account and want to have control over the number of open positions

Does anyone maybe have something like this?

I don't use Kof, so I won't be posting my trading method here.

But it's very simple: pull up a 100-period simple moving average and a 200-period one. When they are trending up and price makes a strong pullback into the moving averages, you buy. That's it. You should never trade against the slope of long-term moving averages—that's a general principle.

I am aware of this fundamental principle in trading, but after watching so many KoF videos, I am tempted to trade against the trend.
I am genuinely curious to see how this experiment concludes or ends.

by the way, i see nobody here trading KoFs style, even cpfleger was trading his own system/approach.

but its still very interesting to see all these different styles from others.

M1 trading essentially comes down to exploiting a price weakness, which then reverses and generates gains on the pullback.

Here is a small tip that transformed my trading: it is actually very easy to know if the slope of a SMA 100 will hold or change rapidly. You simply need to look back 100 periods—what I call the Price -100.

When the current price is above the Price - 100, the slope is bullish. If the current price is significantly above the Price - 100, the slope isn't going to change anytime soon; it is very solid. If the price suddenly drops in an attempt to reverse the SMA 100 slope, it must reach the value of the Price - 100. Since that price is far below, the move will exhaust itself. Any support present in the Price - 100 zone will block the fall. The current price will capitulate and bounce back.

This type of anticipation is only possible with SMAs.

Furthermore, it is also possible to analyze the price oscillations that occurred between the current price and the Price - 100. Why? Because this Price - 100 shifts to the right with every new close, meaning it will eventually encounter those past price fluctuations. This makes it more or less accessible to the current price. Depending on these oscillations, it will sometimes move significantly away from the current price, making it very difficult for the price to break through it sustainably.

These predictable distances create high-probability trading setups.

I keep a vertical line on my chart that shows me the Price - 100, shifting one period to the right at every close. I know at all times whether the slope of my SMA 100 is solid or not. If it isn't solid, I don't trade.

SMA 200 on M1 is equal to SMA 100 M2. Very usefull to compare to time frame. And so simple.

No, definitely not. That only applies to SMAs. It’s linked to the way SMAs are calculated.

No, I use a vertical line. The goal is simply to show where the candle from 100 periods ago is located relative to the current price. You could definitely use a horizontal one instead, since the closing price is what matters. That said, to analyze price fluctuations as I explained in my previous post, a vertical line is more practical. It’s really just a matter of personal preference.
