on long trends the strategy not working.
make huge float loss.

Let's look some real Facts first, you have a less than 600 USD Account Balance, you decided to use a Lot Size of 0.05 per trade, you decided to enter the quantity of trades based on what reason (unknown factor), and you kept adding trades to incur a higher Drawdown at your your decision.

So, how does a Long Trend become the issue ??? Unclear to me BUT I see a Human making decisions and then wants to blame the Market when the Trader does NOT understand how the Market works, mmmmm, maybe a little more understanding is needed on Market Behavior, the management of adding trades and learning might be needed, just my observation BUT I could and would never blame the Market for my errors in judgement.

Funny you should say that, considering you traded relatively large positions of 0.10 to 1 lot for your small account ;-)

Hi everyone,

I enjoy this system, as a baseline.
I am silently watching the posts, while trying to learn this approach. So far it is working, I even built a trading panel, to adapt over this, which helps to manage the trades with keyboard shortcuts, alerts and so on.. (another distraction from trading in a way, I know...)

Focusing only on EUR/USD, even tho it is working over few months, I find it difficult to trade on 1M timeframe due to distractions happening in my job, job not related to trading. If the price is in important area, the last thing i want is phone call not trade related which totally disrupts me. The psychological factor for me is the most difficult as it conflicts with every day responsibilities, but the technical aspect is straight forward. Today also missed out few more trades, but it wouldn't be much profit for accumulated positions.


I usually weigh up the positions multiple positions on key levels of SR, and then just following the price, while seeing position average BE price line, and taking TP back to the mean or SR (which ever is first). The maximum equity draw-down I allow is -10%, (automatic position close kicks in) even tho this never happened as this is my personal Pre-Stop-Out.

If you would answer me few questions for a noob (me):

  1. If any of you had success trading focused on 15M or even 30M timeframe, over 1M? (I don't seem to find answers in the chat)
  2. How do you manage the everyday distractions if you have some?
  3. What is your personal Stop Out / Kill Switch: do you let price dictate the personal Stop Out, or account balance or mix of both?

I don't see any magic here, but just a simple way to accumulate the best possible prices before the price reverts to the mean.

See the image of price entries I made, and exit. If something isn't right, just criticise please. Market is still by far the most brutal critic, so nothing is taken personally.

Each Trader must find his / her TF with the expense of Swap Fees when applicable. Each person must learn and develop their newly acquired trading skills.

it works once you accept you are wrong and take a loss like your supposed to, obviously you will blow your account if you do not manage your money

hi, you have to manage your time better to avoid distractions, stop out level is a personal choice, just have one and stick to it, if you move to a higher timeframe, you will take longer to hit profits, sustain much larger drawdowns and be subject to exposure risk, KoF does say you can but does not recommend it, and he does not use heiken ashi, he relies on price action

1. only m1, can handle DD better

2. i split my sessions into 2 parts. between them i have a long break of 2-3 hours. toilet, breakfast and brush teeth are the distractions i can handle;-) and my wife is very helpful in this time. this is important, she has to understand the priority.

3. so far i limit my positions of a basket to approximately 30 positions and have no stop loss or account equity stop. KOF has also never closed a bad trade, i watched him going down more than -20% and he kept the position open.

I have been testing this strategy for 25 days now. At the start it was a bit "bumpy".

Every week I adapt it a little, but only very slightly, so as not to violate the basic pillars, the framework, or the backbone of the system.

Yesterday was a difficult day, a trend day. This is where the wheat is separated from the chaff. At one point, there was a 22% DD.

That's why you can do whatever you want technically, use BB, fibo, Stochatic, envelopes, shoes, helmet, etc...the DD will come.

the most important thing by far is to have a low base position and avoid clusters so you don't get a margin call.

i dont use RSI.

i seldom look at the stochastic on higher TF, but thats not necessary to make profits with this approach. its just an old habit;-)
