First of all, congratulations to all the bulls. The bears were and still are extremely weak today. Even in an extremely overbought environment like this, which is very rare, they showed virtually no resistance. Why that is, I honestly can’t say. 
The only real question now is: how much further and how much higher can they push it? Price was driven all the way up to 1.1768, marking a new yearly high, despite there being absolutely no solid basis for this move at least not on a short- to medium-term horizon. From the current yearly low at 1.1578 to today’s high, EURUSD has rallied nearly 190 pips. All retracement levels were taken out effortlessly, and all of this happened within a single day.
I’ll admit it I’m completely surprised. Price is currently trading around 1.1730, and I honestly have no clear read on what comes next. At this point, it’s purely politically driven price action, which I really don’t like. I’m only holding a small short from 1.1710, which currently feels somewhat lost in this environment. For now, I’m just observing and waiting, because under these conditions I neither can nor want to make further decisions. Good luck.

What used to be considered a safe haven may no longer play that role — whether for six months, three years, or longer remains to be seen.
