Do you mind me asking why did you enter where you entered and not on the 4EG candle 50% and SL at 4300?
I am just curious and trying to learn

different broker different 4h candle,
my entry was at 4h eg ,
after it sweep, i believe that low was protected and will be back up, but unfortunately it sweep again,
And fibo can be different tf too.
i choose the risk that i willing to lose so the stop really depend own personal risk, dont have a fix stop , what if the 5m fail and bear pushing more down, that will cause me lose more 60-70 pips x 2 orders

Guys can I get a personal advice.
I am very new to day trading but have been trading shares for 1 year so I am used to seeing I am in the red.
However with day trading the moment I see I am up even 2USD I close the position.
How can I not get excited like a school girl?
Today I bought 0.01XAU at 4308 and closed it at 4310 even though I can see the 4h EG candles and I know the target is up.
Shall I just walk away from the laptop?
Do you trail SL ?

I’m afraid there is no straightforward solution. You need to determine what works best for your risk–reward profile and psychology.

gold is a very volatile and very manipulative pair.
a small whipsaw can be 50p up 50p down. otherwise 200-300p up down can be normal.
you can put break even and ride all the way. or use trailing stop.
the rest is depending on experience when to take profit or when to move the stop as it can easily be stopped out.
maybe can be better used on less volatile pairs.

what are we waiting to see from this current minor ranging?

so the red and blue zones held out.
there were 2 riverbank set up.
if you were to trade them, then it goes to show what kind of trader you are.
leaning more to the impatient type.
or otherwise you are a scalper.

there's a reaction during frankurt session. support may be coming from h4 eg instead of h1.
at the same time also aware of asia low.

Ranging big time. Not a good time to trade.
The mother candle was from the NY open (yesterday), range duration 18 hours till now
Today's range was established by the ASIA open candle, range duration 7 hours till now
Two significant OPENING ranges are in play.
