Yesterday's US economic data produced mixed results. The unemployment rate rose to its highest level since 2021, despite an increase in the labor force. Pressure on the USD remains persistent, with the DXY moving below its MA20

EUR has the baggage of being the currency that A) was at the center of the European debt crisis, and B) forced bank depositors to take haircuts, an involuntary financial dismemberment that is not easily forgotten, and one that taints EUR as a reserve currency. And it would be fair to ask, given all the debt-hiding shenanigans that helped foment the European debt crisis, how reliable officially-reported Eurozone debt to GDP numbers really are.

Also, 2026 economic growth projections for US vs. Eurozone have a 2-handle and a 1-handle, respectively.

EU has and will always have to some degree a cat-herding problem.

I think the bigboys around 1.1770 will defend this area

Maybe we see accumulation in Asian, manipulation in London and pre-NY/New York session will sell...


If so, it would be a nice start of Q1 in 2026

It looks like the German economy is dying and that it will weight down or even kill the eurozone. The German car manufacturers are doing very poorly; they've lost touch—and they're the backbone of the German economy. If they die, things look very bleak in Germany and thus across the entire EU. But of course no one knows exactly when it will really break through and become unignoreable.

Well, continuing the pullback, I hope to sell at 1.17400, taking the liquidity that is there, and at 1.17560. For now, buy! TP at 1.17400.

I have a buy limit @ 1.17191 with a target of 1.17921.

H1: From here on forwards, I sell spikes and pullbacks until end of the year...

*While H1 candles open below 1.1777, my overall bias stays bearish!

Yesterday I mentioned the possibility that EURUSD could form a potential shooting star on the daily chart (yellow arrow), which it ultimately did. It is a textbook shooting star, which is a classic reversal signal and very likely marked at least the December high. Even on the H4 chart, a shooting star has formed (yellow arrow). The extremely overbought conditions (yellow circle on the daily) clearly indicated that a pullback was imminent.
This currently opens up downside targets at 1.1712, which is not far away anymore, and later 1.1676 (red box), which could even be reached today given the emerging momentum.
Like Ata, I will use every rebound to sell. Good luck.

Based on D1, no buying until price arrives at yellow area... starting from 1.1698 buying could work but buying closer to 1.1666 would be better...

In other words, buying early can work for scalpers but to me it is risky and not worth the struggle... Just advice
