I added to my short at 1.1802, which brings my break-even to 1.1760. I’m curious to see how this plays out from here. In any case, I’ll continue to scale in if it pushes higher. The market is extremely overbought across the board.

After today’s weak employment data (4.6% vs. 4.5% expected, the highest level since September 2021), the US dollar is weakening against the euro. These figures increase the probability of a rate cut in January 2026, adding further downside pressure to the dollar.
In recent days, the pair had already been under pressure following last week’s rate cut, Powell’s less dovish tone (only one rate cut projected for 2026), the announcement of a $40bn Treasury bill purchase program (liquidity injection), and Oracle’s disappointing earnings, which reinforce the AI bubble narrative.

The trend may remain bullish in the coming days/hours, as there are currently no catalysts for dollar strength or euro weakness. However, the daily RSI is starting to look somewhat overbought. From tomorrow or over the next few days, we may see a corrective move to the downside.

I think that the 1.17800-1.18000 zone looks like a solid area to begin monitoring for potential short opportunities or corrective moves

Next 1H and 4H candles could give us some signs of bearish interests overcoming the bullish momentum we have had so far atm.
