In most trending market conditions moving averages crossover will work well.
In this thread @SwingMan' version of 2LWMA_Open/Close crossover work just great. Other variants of Golden-Cross also work like the 5LWMA/EMA also work great in the lower timeframes. Other variants of Golden-Cross and Death-Cross is also the 10/20/50 MAs version and the 50/200MAs.
I like the median MA of the 2LWMA mentioned in @SwingMan' post#1.
What I like about @SwingMan' is his 'prediction' of the 2LWMA cross .
What I do not like is the use of Buy Stop and Sell Stop orders. I prefer Market Order when manual trading.
When I use automated trading with EA, I use Limit Orders and Average Entry Price. This is to build up baskets of positions and to maximise profits with smaller risks ... better Risk Control.

Congratulations to those all who were long in SILVER. Thats the power of holding, the power of trading the Higher time frames, (which George has mentioned several times in his posts) the Power of GOLDEN CROSS (I am thankful to George) XAGUSD touched ATH of 55.643 and soon it will be crossing 60.000 before Gold touches its ATH again (4381.37)
Anything can happen next month until Dec 19 week.
When position trading higher timeframes Monthly-Weekly-Daily, we learn to trade like investors when in trending market type conditions. The POWER is in your Money Management Strategy with Risk Control. Investors "Cut-Losses-Short" and "Let-Profits-Run" with scaling-in positions we can maximise profits with locked-in profits and build up more positions in the market.
A quick back-test with Risk:Reward 1:3 below. Trade with risk control and add-on positions in trending market type.
You can use @SwingMan' median-MA mentioned in post#1 when back-testing.
Starting with $500 initial risk per trade and Position Sizing, you can grow your retirement saving account on your own.

Most of the new traders are tempted to the shiny metals (Gold, Silver etc ) and of these two, are more tilted towards Gold
Hope this chart below will help them making a comparison.
I am still long in Silver in one of my accounts for long term holdings since 43.000 levels.
With the upcommmg fundamental events in the month of December 2025 , Fed rate decsion, the value of XAUXAG (as in the chart ) will be fluctualting too much and can go below 70 soon and Silver can be up again.
XAGUSD will be making new ATHs
One needs to decide which type of trader they are short term, medium termn or long term, pick the time frame that suits them and GO

Before diving into the Golden Cross trading idea thread , I spent time exploring Bill Williams’ Alligator, Awesome Oscillator (AO), and Fractals. Recently, as I’ve been giving my eyes a break from the trading screen, I stumbled upon some truly golden words by Bill Williams, words everyone who is trading should try to understand and implement (incuding myself)
Trading doesn’t have to be complicated to be effective.
