During the night my short order was triggered at 1.1585 — see red arrow. Let’s see how this develops, but I still believe yesterday’s push higher won’t be sustainable. Still, I won’t fight the market, so my stop is set at breakeven. My main target is a retest of the key level for me at 1.1542 — see yellow arrow.

There are several reasons why I’m still bearish. On the daily chart it’s been in a downtrend since mid-September. In the bigger picture, it has only completed the 23.6% retracement of the January–September rise. Based on my experience, it usually reaches at least the 38.2% retracement — which is at 1.1253 — before it might even consider making new highs. Various indicators in the broader picture are also in a downtrend and showing weakness. I don’t want to go into too much detail, it would take too long. But this much: I’d start reconsidering my bearish outlook if it were to rise above 1.1630 and hold above that level. I hope that explains my view well enough.

W1: Just keep in mind that although the bullish trend on the weekly is slowing down, my latest channel is still slightly ascending and therefore bullish!

Watch ~1.1522/33 area support!

*My D1 support sits at ~1.1555... While intraday candles H1 and H4 open above it, I keep my bullish bias!

Good morning from Spain. Currently watching how price develops, although I’m still favouring shorts at the moment. I’m waiting to see whether price is able to close below the 4H and 1H low at @1.15580, which would confirm a continuation of the bearish trend. If that level fails to break and we shift into a fully bullish structure instead, then my first upside target would be the November 13th High, just below @1.16600.
Let’s see how the next sessions unfold.

Given this data, the DXY also lowered its interest rate by 25 basis points last December 2024, but remained strong. Fundamentally, I understand why it is believed that the price will fall well below where we are now, but I am intrigued as to why it remained strong.
