We young guys have to have our sleep too joking Engulfing Rules .Here is what my Eur/gbp looks like Erebus. 1. Engulfing candle has to have color change and only trade above the 50 sma (my 20ema on charts too ) 2. Engulfing candle description for me : bullish green candle has to open below the red candle and close above red candle ( My preference ) 3 . Entries only in the 50 to 60 rsi zone ...RSi 14 . Opposite for sell. Daily candles only for me. 4. enter stop orders above or below . 5 .I cover at half the distance of risk . 6 limit orders can be used but will have more losers . This is education purposes only from me .

A bit of push / pull going on with GOLD / USD with NFP looming later today, which should resolve it for a while anyway.

Have to wait and see .Holidays coming up too ..so maybe taking a break . I'll post a couple of charts of the 5 bar pivot strat here in a bit that did ok .Hopefully i can .

Some are curious about trading the 4 hour and 1 hour on the engulfing strat . Yes you can but the you need to get them right off the bat coming off the 50 smas or catch them coming up or down on a swing . Also real tight MM ..these are designed for a 3 to 5 bar move momentim . 1 to 1 at best on shorter time frames .Also between the 50 and 60 rsi 14 zone for triggers .These will hurt you in a tight range .

I traded this one on the daily . This one had a lower 25% close . Read the article above about the 5 bar pivots or candles . Also look at the red entry candle's range ..it is larger than the previous green one's range ...this means imo there were more sellers than the previous day .Also 50 fib from the previous pivot high .

I did not trade the one above . It's between the 50 and 60 rsi zone .The red candle opened above green candles close and broke below the freen candles low .Some would call that a 2 bar reversal . There is another one about 10 candles to the left of that one ..maybe a 1 to 1 there or a scratch .Anyway everyone have a good day and hope it helps ...chore time If you like what you see i'll post some more when time permits .

Further analysis of the PRICE on Gold in the area between those Pin Bar high and low, shows how indecisive the market is.

There is a huge 4-hour inside bar which created this situation, and price has yet to make a breakout even with NFP news.

Unfortunatley i didnt trade this one but this pair shot up like a rocket out of bed lol It busted right out the range. Its an exotic pair or whatever(2 pip spread at the time ) . The engulfing candle right in the 50/60 zone . Normally i would cover at the half way point which price didnt reach which is a good thing

20ema crossed over the 50 sma and stayed above the 20 (smart money ) . Look for these above the short term ema's --no shorter then the 15 i would say..angle is good but not set in stone. Engulfing candle open lower than the previous close and closed higher than the previous candle . These are just one 1 to 4 candle moves for me ..then ill cover half the distance . Rsi is high but not oversold .
