I have used this broker but have read they are reliable. Checkout Trading.Com They have a USA office & one in another country. At least maybe you can have a phone chat with one of their offices. Best of luck to you in your efforts to find a reliable broker anywhere.

Wide spreads and very high Swaps rate here. This would nearly double my trading cost. They are very retail-ish broker at Trading.com. I would not tust them my money.

Not surprised at all. It pays to do your due diligence in the trading world. If you find a reliable broker let everyone know. Best of trades to you.

Actually I would trust Interactive Brokers. And I am again thinking to trade again with IC Markets but only smaller portion of my net worth. Cause delaying the withdraw is not the same than not doing the withdraw at all. There are red flags everywhere and a lot of other brokers had issues aswell. I have to live with it that nothing is 100% sure (like always in trading). The safest option for my money is Interactive Brokers and they seem to have good execution and depth of book in Spot Forex too.

Hello TrAndy1. I have the same problem, not in size but in commission. I'm not sure what's going on currently in the forex market but it seems that the commission we have to pay is not only used for broker costs etc. I'm not sure if central banks put pressure on the brokers to slow down speculations.
-That could lead to problems in liquidity on payouts etc or stupid actions on broker side.

Here is an example, from right now: I'm currently in EUR/USD I'm underwater $145 or 1.5 pips. My Problem: I pay currently almost $75 on commission (so underwater $220). That $3 dollar per side per lot is wayyy too much for these days. To trade the EUR/USD profitable in the day for 3 or 4 pips, the commission should be max. $1.50 per side.

Do you get any better conditions on your high volumes? As I write my counter trend trade worked out... sold 80%, $50 win, but my commissions were/are $75. That is crazy due to lack of movement.

Futures:@trandy1: Unfortunately I checked that out: The Futures have no swaps but the 3% p.a. on EUR/USD are priced in... and fade away, so here is an example: Future 11/2026 1.1545, Real Quote Eur USD: 1.1500 ->No swap, but it looses the value over time. I need that too, to hedge my longs on us-stocks against euro but no free lunch, sorry.

Another problem with futures: You have only 0.5 Pips smallest tick, not 0.1 pips like on forex. Commission I cannot remember but it was as bad as on forex. I think politics on all G-10 Countries but some kind of fee on all currency trades to avoid algo trading in the extreme and to stabilize currencies, at least in the 1 minute trading.

You are right regarding commissions. It is too much asking $7 rtl. But you can use kickbacks, there are rebate companies like https://www.rebatekingfx.com/de where you can get ca. 40% discount on the IC Commission rate so you pay only $4 roundturnlot. Still a lot but much better. They offer these rebates for lots of brokers. If it helps you... and then the thing why I dismiss FX Futures now is, that I mostly trade FX Minors like EURGBP for example, and then I have double commission for those futures going long GU and shorting EU Futures. That would add too much to my overall trading cost. So if you trade a lot then you might give Advancedmarkets.com a try as they go down to $1.4 roundturnlot if you trade much, and the maximum they take is $3 rtl but you need to make at least $1000 in commission per month.
From what I know is the more you go retail the more you pay in commissions. And the more you go professional like with prime brokers the less you pay in commissions. But there is one thing. You need to have certain trading volume for the more primish broker ones, like baxter-fx or advancedmarkets, but then you can go down below $2 roundturnlot. And with real prime banks I know they go down as much $1 roundturnlot, but here you need multimillions in deposits to start with!

I've only ever used Trading212, any ideas what I should be using instead if trading Forex?

Well, for FX, your options will mostly be dictated by how much volume you generate per month and where you are located.

If your monthly volume exceeds $100M/month your best bet would probably be MAS Markets (if you primarily trade FX). They offer customized liquidity feeds and can even offer access to pure institutional platforms such as CBOE, FXALL, 360T etc which is rare for individual traders, even professional ones. Granted, for access to the institutional platforms you would need to generate $100M/day ($2B/month).

If you generate less than $100M/month there are LMAX, ATFX Connect, etc. Check to see if Interactive Brokers offer Spot FX in your jurisdiction. Otherwise you will only be able to trade CFD FX which come with position size limits of 7M and pretty terrible fills (been there done that).CMC Markets is actually a pretty good option here if you can live with their platform options. They stream up to $20-30M on most FX Majors with competitive spread and no commission. Holding costs might not be great though. You also get rebates on volume generated and insane leverage if you qualify as a pro clients.

I did not have a great experience when trying out Advanced Markets a couple of years back. Fills were consistently much worse than their order book indicated and the large amount of micro orders of 2-4k, even 500 units (!) next to 2-10M quotes was also concerning since that doesn't happen on a real liquidity streams aimed for larger traders.

It seems they have withdraw issues. They are young firm, should be good from what I read, but there are some few complaints regarding withdraws here.

I wouldn't pay much attention to a single review on FPA. MAS primarily serves institutional clients and elective professionals, not retail traders. If there were persistent issues with withdrawals, word would spread quickly in institutional circles, and they would be out of business in no time. Instead, they are actually one of the fastest‑growing brokers in the Prime‑of‑Prime space, and their offering, as I outlined in my previous post, is quite unique.

I have a close associate who traded with them and made multiple withdrawals without experiencing any issues. You receive a form that you fill out with your bank details (which must match the details used for depositing), and they will wire your money within the standard 1–3 business days. He did not stay with them because he struggled to generate the minimum monthly volume they require ($100M) and went with CMC Markets instead.

Maybe Swiss brokers? Interactivebrokers? Interactivebrokers has very strange platform.
Saxo (strange name for a broker) has Fx Spot, not cfd apparently.

But those have all spreads for eurusd about 1 pip and xauusd above 0,5.
