Analysis of XAUUSD (Gold Ounce) Chart on the 1-Hour Timeframe – Date: November 18, 2025
Gold price today is stabilizing in the 4000–4020 range, after a bearish correction from recent highs (above 4200). Focus is on Elliott Wave, Ichimoku, and price action.

1. Elliott Wave Analysis
Overall structure: On the 1H timeframe, gold is in a corrective A-B-C wave within the long-term bullish impulse wave 5 (from early 2025).
Wave A (bearish) completed at the 3980 low, wave B (bullish corrective) reached 4020, and now we are in wave C downward, which can extend to 3980–3950 (61.8% Fibonacci target from wave B).
Bullish scenario: If wave C remains shallow and price closes above 4005, it can turn into a new impulse wave 3 and target 4135 (previous high). RSI at 52 (neutral) shows upside potential.
Risk: A break below 3990 deepens wave C and leads to a larger correction (down to 3900).
Trade idea: Wait for confirmation of wave C; if price breaks above 4020, go long with SL below 4005.

2. Ichimoku Analysis
Kumo Cloud: Price is inside a compressed cloud (contraction) (above the cloud at 4005–4020), indicating indecision. Tenkan-sen (9-period) at 4015 and Kijun-sen (26-period) at 4008 have converged – a weak bullish signal if Tenkan stays above Kijun.
Chikou Span: Stuck below price (at 3995), confirming bearish pressure, but if it moves above the candles of the past 26 periods (4010), it gives a buy signal.
Scenario: The future cloud (leading span) is bullish (green), so if price exits the cloud upward, the target is 4060. Otherwise, testing the cloud bottom (3990) is likely.
Trade idea: Buy the Tenkan-Kijun bullish cross; SL below Kijun.

3. Price Action Analysis
Patterns and levels: On 1H, a bullish pin-bar (hammer) has formed at the 4005 low, showing rejection from support (uptrend line from October 2025). Recent candles are doji-like, confirming consolidation.
Key resistance: 4020 (wave B high).
Support: 4005 (recent low).
Volume and momentum: Low volume (consolidation), but breakout above 4020 will increase volume. Bollinger Bands are tight (mid-band at 4008), ready for a breakout.
Bearish scenario: A break of the 4005 support with a bearish engulfing candle targets 3990 (next structure).
Trade idea: Wait for a breakout; long above 4020 with target 4060, SL 4000.

Neutral to slightly bullish in the short term, with potential to correct to 3990 before rising toward 4135.
