Any GAIN users get constantly logged off their JAVA platform?

I am trading with Gain through Tradestation so I know we have a different JAVA platform than other users.

It doesn't matter what I set me log off time to...I am getting kicked off a handful of times a night.

I have a very stable DSL connection so I was just wondering if anyone else has this problem.

GAIN is your first problem. I left TS because I wasn't going to deal with their gangsta' ghetto spreads...

I swear that I heard that they do something like IB does, where they reset every night... I know a guy on IB that has this problem because he's trying to automate and he has to restart every darn night...

And to answer your question regarding pips, yes, fixed spread brokers are gangster. You pay four pips all the time on pairs that are routinely one pip... that's very gangster. Of course they don't widen during news -- they've made a lot of money off of you already AND they're betting on the fact that you're going to lose your rearend anyway, so...

I wish TS didn't use them. I love their backtesting platform, regardless if they're a crappy broker. I could've used TS with Tradebolt for IB as a broker if I wanted I suppose...

I thought all 1 pip spread brokers also charged commissions?

Anyway, TS will have automated FX next month and they use GAIN. I must have automated FX. I can't stay up all night every night.

Or you could just use TS as a charting platform and use whatever broker you're with now.

That's what all TS traders want, but the integration with other brokers is nil, have to write them up yourself. Tradebolt is one and Ninja is another but again, not easy task, they're get you to use their broker as much as they can.

Mr Trend, totally agree with these bucket shop gangster, they should be banned from biz forever. FXCM is the worst. They claim to provide no spread, commissions-based "IF YOU ASK FOR IT". What does that mean?!!!! "You have to tell us you don't want to robbed anymore." How polite!
