Since some charting/trading platforms label a bar by its open, while others label their bars by their close, it is suggested that you clarify the precise bar you are using by stating the open and the close, at least initially: When you say you are using the 7:30 AM fixed bar, is that the bar that opens at 7:00 AM and closes at 7:30 AM, or is that the bar that opens at 7:30 AM and closes at 8:00 AM?

Both here and in the videos I always state the open & close so that we know we are all looking at the same bar, even though my platform labels the 7:30 AM to 8:00 AM bar the "8:00 AM" bar, while someone using Think or Swim would see that platform labels that bar the "7:30 AM" bar.

Identifying by open & close removes all confusion and facillitates understanding and communication among the thread participanst.

Again, good luck! (I by wishing you good luck, I do not mean "profits" ... I mean good luck sticking to the process and profits or losses be damned. This is all about developing the skills required to be a consistently profitable trader. If you develop those skills, then refining your trading plan to become consistently profitable will be the easy part. Right now, you are embarking on the hard work of learning to trade. Just because the work is hard doesn't mean it has to take years. It can takes just weeks or a few months for some. If you can avoid fooling yourself as I fooled myself, it will take a relatively short time. If instead you decide to fool yourself and let your ego run roughshod over your discipline, you could be at this spinning your wheels for years, or even decades.

So, again, good luck sticking to the exercise. I do hope you are starting with a SIM account, or if trading live, it is a prop eval account. It is important for the first pass through the 20 day exercise that you are able to focus on execution and reduce the pressure to be profitable to as close to zero as possible. Even in a sim environment, I guarantee you will initially still find yourself cheering price toward your take profit, and you'll feel a bit of disappointment when your stop loss is hit. Losing streaks and undermine the whole mental business, even in a sim environment. I advise you to be mindful of both elation and disappointment, and learn to see that that is your ego trying to get to you. YOU are not your ego. You are the awareness that stands behind your ego. Your ego is going to do its utmost to fool you into thinking that you and it are one and the same. You are not. But you must fight the ego to maintain your independence and control of the process.

Hey Vidvad, Thanks for the honest advice (as always).

I'm using the bar opening at 7.30 AM (EST), which closes at 8.00 AM, as the reference bar. Same as with the other one, 9.00 AM - 9.30 AM as a fixed bar. Also after rewatching your video, I've decided to stick to one instrument first (Gold for me). Yes I'm trading in a demo evaluation account and with calculated risk. Hopefully I'll stick with the rules and not mess up. Let's see how it goes, cheers!

If I take 1% for 1 trade, then when I enter 20 trades with a 60% win rate:
Each winning trade: +1%
Each losing trade: –1%
You enter 20 trades, 60% win rate → win 12 trades, lose 8 trades.
Total profit = (number of winning orders – number of losing orders) × 1%
= (12 – 8) × 1%
= 4 × 1%
= +4%
If I set 1% rick as 100$ then: 100$ --> 400$
If I set 1% rick as 1000$ then: 1000$ --> 4000$
If I set 1% rick as 2000$ then: 2000$ --> 8000$
If the ratio is 60%, the more persistent you are in placing regular orders, the more obvious the results will be.
I had a week of placing orders on winning days, losing days, my account was sometimes negative and sometimes even, I persisted throughout the losing - even series of orders and now it is profitable. After all, the persistent person is the winner. Be patient from the way you enter the order to the way you watch the author's youtube tutorial.

My main interest the SP500 5 minute ORB at 2:30pm. Profitable long and done for the day. Just keep pluggin' away and don't fiddle beyween twenties

I had recorded a special Day of the Roulette Epiphany video to in honor of today being the 1 year anniversary of the Roulette Epiphany. Unfortunatley, after uploading it to youtube and posting it here I discovered that the audio did not record properly.
