Waiting to hit my sell stop!

When the long-term 30-day moving average (MA30) is trending upwards, you should avoid short trades.
An exception would be a signal within the first six bars where the upper Donchian Channel is reached.

Hello, everyone! I'm still practicing and playing around a bit with @SwingMan's Golden Cross system.

This time, using the daily trend and smMACD, I'm looking for the trend (bearish in this case) to be accompanied by increasingly larger histogram bars.

On the right screen (4 hours), I look for entry signals (in this case, sell signals) that are close to the smGoldenCross Trend_v2.2 set at 30 to enter continuation trades. I also use other parameters such as 50% of the Donchian and the smGoldenCross TrendMTF_v5.1, which act as dynamic support/resistance.

Another point to keep in mind is that the price should not be at the bottom of the Donchian channel in this case.

I believe we should start exploring how to integrate AI into this chaotic market. Indicators, however sophisticated, are not enough to truly win, and win sustainably.

I tried creating a GoldenChart EA with AI support (ChatGPT), and was quite disappointed with its intelligence...

It made a lot of mistakes, but actually corrected itself after a few pointers from me. This means you have to actively engage in dialogue with the AI and control every step.

Yes, we're still only at the beginning of AI.
It seems obvious to me that the possibilities are enormous.
It's a good thing to start familiarizing ourselves with this revolutionary tool that's coming.

Here is the file. Please read @SwingMan's thread to understand how the system works. There are many PDF files created by @ENoris that explain in detail how each indicator works and how to apply it.

Practice as much as you can, interpret how everything you see works, and don't trade signals that don't meet all the conditions.

why enter here and not the previous arrow?

It cannot be seen in detail in the image, but in the previous arrow, the signal (Sell Stop) did not reach the predicted price, so I rejected the signal and waited for the next one. Otherwise, if the sell order had been activated at that arrow, I would have obtained a trade with a stop loss.

Can you show what this is about with an example?

Number 1: The GoldenCross System shows a sell signal (Sell Stop) at a certain price which did not reach THE SAME CANDLE AS THE SIGNAL, so the signal is rejected.

Number 2: The GoldenCross System shows a new sell signal (Sell Stop) at a certain price, and that order is activated IN THE SAME CANDLE AS THE SIGNAL, which is a valid signal.

All of this is provided that it meets the rest of the conditions for selling.

After seeing the comment from senior member @le celte, I could not resist to make this post. I request respected le celte to read my previous posts, as I am profitable using this system, again it depends upon how one approaches 3Ms (Mind, Money Management and Method)

I haven’t been active these past few weeks due to some severe health issues, and I had no choice but to step away and give my eyes the rest they desperately needed. At the end of the day, our health and our families matter far more important than any chart or trade ever will.

I am thankful to all who inquired about my health through PMs.

Thankfully, things are improving now on my side. Even though I’ve been away from the trading screen, I’ve still been quietly working in the background, trying to deepen my understanding of the systems developed by George (SwingMan).

I’ve learned so much from this thread, especially from George’s posts. Honestly, words fall short when I try to express how valuable his insights have been to me. The Golden Cross Trading Idea, in particular, has opened doors to perspectives I never would have discovered on my own.

Of course, no one is obliged to follow only the Golden Cross method or any single method or indicator. Each trader must choose what aligns with their personality, style, and comfort. But from my personal experience, once someone studies this thread deeply, backtest and live test the indicators and truly understands concept of predicting the future price, the Golden Cross becomes something worth holding onto. That’s just my perspective, others may see it differently, and that’s perfectly fine. I have shared what I have experieneced and tried to explain as much as I can so that it becomes easierr for the new members.

I hope to return soon with renewed momentum. Once I’m fully back, I’ll do my best to contribute as much as I can.

I also hope other members will drop by whenever life gives them the chance. We all get pulled in different directions, but this thread is far from fading, and I’m looking forward to getting things moving again together.
