Euro Futures 820 Open time..Not 930 NY
IB is 820-920 these levels will play out through out NY close and thru Asia/UK Globex.

Same with Yen and Pound.

Boom Bang ! $ 420!!! Nice shooting !!!! Pulling up a NQ chart here in minute ..alot going on tonight lol...

Woulda shudda coulda....in the midst of making a little sunday night turkey dinner,,,,putting up a new Blink camera
and posting charts... I missed out on Gold. Mind you the move was earlier than normal at 7 vs 8-9ish...

10k GC contracts traded in 10mins is a Volume Anomaly now the whole Globex has traded 37k con...approx..wow

Anyways,,,cant go wrong buying/selling a volume spike like this in Asia...and its a prime example of
anchoring VWAP to volume anomalys..These will often give great VAH VAL levels to trade from..
and sure as the Full Moon....yep

When Price is in balance Between 1SD H/L we fade VAH VAL....
When Price breaks thru 1SD holds /retests/ it then is IMBALANCED
we trade the initial retest/confirmation.... (Outlined on chart)

I saw that setup - Unfortunately I was on a Call to my broker in Chicago about a Data issue so missed it.

Another trade Setup I look for when trading VWAP / Volume Profile are OUTLIER's.
These are just trades that don't fit in to expected PA, normally cascading Stop runs that are just waiting to be faded.
I use a few tools on my Execution screen to nail these setups - Just wait for Buyers to enter on Bearish Stop Runs and a setup you can't lose on.
I may lose on the first attempt but normally the Win on 2nd or 3rd attempt is often huge.

I took those two Stop run setups, the second chart is the smaller one.

PS. A fantastic Stop Run just occurred on NQ - I just caught a small piece on the way down (Loss trade 1 - Nailed trades 2 & 3)

Actually, one of my favourite setups. Most of the times, key factors are:
1. the price moves too far too fast
2. with significant acceleration
3. accompanied with abnormal volume flushes

These variables are measurable in different ways, based on one's toolkit. Most people are scared to buy/sell at the these "panic" moves, but if you know what you are looking for, there is huge amount to be made.

ES with a different spin...

LVN Low Volume Nodes...

With Vol Profile the longer the Composite profile the more mmm stable the POC VAH VAL are.
When using strictly a session they will move around..

So anchoring to Fridays market Vol profile and VWAP.

The good thing about VWAP is those VAH VAL lines are set...they wont fluctuate like VOL Profile VAH VAL etc.

So the low vol node I had marker before the session comes into play alongside VWAP 1SD for a easy lay up.
Think of a LVN where little business has been done and they more often than not reject price or blow thru.

Great gold action this mornin !

It is THE BENCHMARK METRIC for all institutions to grade performance... VWAP is the Average price of all executed orders.

When you understand VALUE and how VWAP represents that you can start finding edge. We all know markets mostly range,
75-80% they say and the rest we are trending....

Soooooo heres an idea.... Trade from the OUTSIDE...Trade From Extremes... Trade from VAH VAL...think about this.

If the market is in balance Fair Value and price is at the edge of value...such as VAH VAL...It might be more probabilistic that
you find success at these edges.

Perhaps im saying to much
SO lets take a look at Gold. Absolutely Precise clearly defined setups.
Based on AMT on Value....

It's all over the news even major hedge fund owners..saying how the flight to GOld from the dollar is very prevalent
worldwide... SO IF INSTITUTIONS were to be BUYING gold...Wheres one spot we know they would buy ? Yes VWAP

IYKYK is all I can really say.... Learn who AUTHORS PRICE..Because its not Candlesticks...

Wrong.

Blue, you are making absolute statements like this and I can not not respond...here is today head and shoulders on 5 Min TF ES Futures, Pure Candlesticks action. No Volume or any delayed indicators ever needed. I trade patterns made out of pure Candlesticks action every day. Short Entry where the dashed line is.

There are another 2 pure candlestick patterns on this chart that can be traded successfully.

For those (like me) that still use MT4, a VWAP indicator that you can anchor to a time of your choosing.
Normally they are fixed at your brokers start time of day, which may not be the US Open.
