They are so full of shit. The invoice clearly says the order was placed today.
If anyone is thinking of opening an account, I recommend talking to them first before registering tru their site.
Shady shit. Hard to trust these guys based on this.
Imagine trading for them and they pull a funny rule or policy of theirs that you violated but they tell you the rule after the fact.
Maybe somewhere on their contract it says that payment for all new orders will be applied to old orders? They can easily say ya it is in our contract and by putting X in the field of the agreement it means you knew.
So much for the fkg 19% discount.

I talked to 3 reps at least. No one figured out what was wrong.
Ijust kinda figured it out
So they charged me 574.32 USD for the actual challenge price.
On my bank's site that translate to around €457.44.
€540 less 19% is €437.4 (which is $20 less than my bank) and that in USD is $489.17.
But they charged me a bunch of taxes and fees that added to the total cost and made it higher than expected.
So, I guess they did charge me the discounted fee.
At least it tricked 3 of their own reps. I feel less stupid.
But the funny thing is, I have sent cancellation request already.

There is actually no discount. I had them clear all my outstanding orders. They did and emailed me saying go ahead, now you can take advantage of the discount. Just to test it, I placed an order for a 100K swing account. It comes up at full price. Maybe during cash out it will apply the discount or maybe not. Who is gonna dare try? Regarding your other concerns that FTMO isn't trustworthy, I can only say so far that I haven't had any problems and everything has gone smoothly, as expected. Unfortunately, I didn't make it past the challenge phase, so I can't say how things would have progressed further, i.e., whether I would have received a contract as a funded trader and, if so, whether I would have received payouts on my profits.
However, I did have them send me a sample contract so my sister (a lawyer) could review it. She just said it was a standard contract and that it doesn't mean a shit. And yes you basically have no "rights" at all. You're at the mercy of these companies, and as you say, there's nothing you can do if the rules suddenly change or they try to get rid of you. Maybe you could sue, but that's probably not worth it in most cases.
I'd like to try another challenge at the beginning of the month (but only 10k, enough to test for now). I hope they'll still offer the discount then. I almost passed the challenge I tried in June after 32 days. I was at almost +14% with a drawdown of less than -3.8%, and then I stupidly messed it up because I accidentally left two positions open overnight with increased risk, which then just exceeded the daily loss limit the next day, and I was at -6.2%.
