i took a loss yesterday on the audnzd, i left the charts and forgot to move sl to be and i got back to see the miss in nzd gdp that smashed the level, so i made some notes, i got out of balance and made a silly mistake, my nzdcad turned and i ended up sniping that gbpcad i was excited, also my indexes were showing me nzd and aud werent supportive of this move but all noted, i think this will come back but i dont like nzd pa its getting smashed, i love to lose, i was watching some successful people yesterday and 1 mentioned something like, ''You can go from failure to success, but you cant go from excuses to success. Failing forward is a good miss, because I failed I learned something and im farther forward then I was before"

I’ve fixed my main settings and won’t be changing them, but out of curiosity I’m still backtesting with different ones on the side. I’m just curious to know what periods others find reliable on different timeframes. Personally, I like K-periods of 9, 14, and 21, with slowing values of 3, 6, and 9.

Would be nice to discuss what works best for each of us.

not sure what those settings are for? i have some time maybe i can test some things

have u tried that trading views rewind or tradezellas rewind? i think there are other platforms u can do that forex replay, u can pick a date and a random instrument and press start and u can go through years of p.a in 5 minutes, i sometimes go there and pick some random thing in a random year i havnt traded so i cant cheat and win all the time the simulation and just sharpen up a strategy or hone in on something, forward testing is probably better but to slow, i think just using pure technicals is limiting as well something u only have in those rewinds, unless your really keen and stop the p.a then search for fundis, then if u search for fundis then itll come up with it that it went up or down, maybe a work around there not sure, or run multiple charts to check correlations if u really really want to hone in but yeah time consuming

I’d like to share a few things if you got time. I don’t know who I am but I know what I’m becoming, we all riding the same rhythm just at different levels. This drawdown was pushed, yet I don’t want it to sound like an excuse, it really doesn’t matter but to me I’d even refuse a mill to not complete this test. I know I sound crazy sometimes (very often) but honestly this is the only place I feel free to share everything related to trading, it keeps me sane.

A typical movie runtime is 2 hr 30 mins. On average I’ve spent over 6 hours hooked to charts experimenting with everything about it since 2016 this made me quit my job. It’s not how it looks, reality is always relative. It’s not about money to me anymore, I see the world and people differently. No one knows much about me, the things I’ve done, doing, or planning. When I go out I listen, I’ve never been asked what I do, they just assume I’m onto something. I don’t disrespect anyone and my personality doesn’t allow anyone to disrespect me, at least not in front. I haven’t had everything, everything is a lot, but I’ve made many changes to my expectations as I’ve grown. I’ve always been curious to know what others have to say, I want to understand and compare both our logic and accept the one that stands out.


With real funds I can manipulate the result around this drawdown. I can put 2–3k or even 4k not to save (there’s no need saving anyway, just to look better to the eyes and make the drawdown look less). I could end it soon by taking a big lot at extreme levels and somehow end in profit. 3k to 63k in 16 days live that I posted here with TE was risky, extremely risky. No matter what, the profit can’t be done at will. Another account had 18k equity and balance 80k. The equity reached close to 90k with over 40k withdrawn but there was a 98.7% chance of liquidation. Things are different with different numbers and money management. I don’t mean you need a million, it doesn’t matter 15k (minimum capital to cover any situation).

Now the account bellow the 800 to 3.2 mill and 5–7 other accounts being copied including an account of 1k I swear it could be a few bucks up or down. I mentioned equity touched 7.2 mill 30 days the 1k account close to 10k EQUIETY how do I know? Multiterminal. If you add many accounts it’s nice to watch them all in real time. NordFX Real 4 (was my server) only drawback is you can't monitor different servers even of same broker or any other broker. my current broker FP Markets doesn’t have that, I can live without it now but I hope to convince them to consider having one. I've tried using nord's multi terminal to login fb market I its ofcourse unlike mt4 but similar to one of my terminals brokers have and see to manage accounts. that’s the only sad thing. BDW if you like super cars you can try B2broker as well I have account here as well but its not easy to open so many real documentation and over 25k to begin there are many annual charges it would only benefit serious fund. My current favorite is FP Market covers all my needs.

The total equity touched 7 million in 30 days, all real money, and as you said in our own very real world . The closing equity if I remember was 5.something, but the important thing is these 7–9 accounts were an art piece, no problemo until I believed there was a problemo. Stability of the entire funds from the start of that cycle was 96%. Not over-leveraged, leverage was forced upon broker to be 1:50, not random lots, strict max trade limit. And Lux was it fun to watch grow. By end of week 3 we were literally closing half a mil every day (equity) I call it harvesting. In the end, as you can see, I doubted myself, thinking how could this be real, plus a few other reasons End of July 2021. After that we started testing with 10 k real funds every test failed. It wasn’t about money, I had to fix the ending part. Real or demo doesn’t matter to us, but of course real is still real. Losing 60k from 80k of the master account in tests of 10k each real account was a lot to digest, we couldn’t afford more. Since then I’ve been fixing it not backtests but forward tests only, over and over.

I can open an account, put a lot or two and sufficient margin to cover 1–2k monthly (note: money works differently in reality ), but this doesn’t help fix the problem. For that I have to test 45–60 days, So after being left with 18 k of 80 k test fund I began doing it on demo. Four years yeah 45-65 days trading demo with preset SOP focusing on only making things worse and See if it can be sustained back and do crazy things it's been mixed results of good great bad worst but I know for a fact I couldn't be convinced easily but lately sometime I feel convinced I have done with the worst part by now onto the crazy stuff. By this time my mind was so done with tests I couldn’t have kept going without crawling here and I can talk about anything but forex If I don't know what I'm doing. The outcome has its own commentary, I’m just saying and sharing whatever I feel like and on my mind.

didn't had the courage, strength or will to do it again. So I just started posting here. When I I saw so much noise and many threads for different pair some many thread here are very interesting bdw I mostly acknowledge and I have felt it. I’ve always had the intention to help the community in general, we are a collective consciousness anyway. So Just Trades to interact, meet, share ideas and minds.

So what does this test mean to me this time? NOTHING. Because whatever the outcome so be it. I just want to see it from my own eyes. It’s not preparation for something big or anything. I know like many I’ve got a good sense of charts. But what about money? Taking it out without gambling is like standing by a beautiful ocean now just don’t think of taking water with a bucket. The entire ocean is yours. Ours.

Backtesting is no good, I am confident sure and know for a fact I would have bought BTC when it was bellow $100. My backrests give me only such results.

yeah they are, i kind of just elaborated in case theres some new people who reading its a good tool because unless they been watching all the charts for the last 10 years then they have only a guess how price was in some random instrument in 2002 on june 27th so what was it long or short...

this gbp taking a hit, my Pxy looks a bearish D1 could be a few days here bearish not sure, im not really looking at the moment once im out of cad ill start searching again ill post my findings and my Sxy(Chf) h1, that top is at multi year new highs just keeps going up, i quickly looked through the crosses, looks like the moves already started, hopefully a quick chf bull to give me some bearish entries next week or later
