This is the scenario i am seeing looking at the charts, that's why i strongly believe any major move may be to the downside.
Daily TL 3 touches to top and 3 touches to bottom.
And a lot of shit that happened in between
Daily chart with divergence on MACD.

With the Federal Funds Rate decision today, volatility is expected and EUR/USD could swing sharply in either direction. On the daily chart, the pair is testing resistance after a steady climb. While an initial retracement or pullback is possible following the announcement, the broader market structure still favors continuation to the upside once short-term volatility settles. I'm still thinking of buying dips....

If I actually knew the future, I’d be writing this from my private island.....

Everyone is waiting Except for yesterday’s long with +10 pips, I’m waiting too. This time I want to try setting two positions with a 5–6 pip SL, but at 1 lot each, just before the news. With a bit of “luck” and a direct, strong movement in one direction – it should work. If not, and there’s a shake up and down first… well, about $100 goes up in smoke.

You’re absolutely right. That’s why I said ‘luck’ — the right momentum, the right SL size, and an adequate lot size.

It's a bit risky... I've been through this before.

The spread alone can increase by up to 20 pips a minute before the news.
And the gap.. can also leap over your position even 30 pips on EURUSD, and even 50 or more on other currencies (depending on a broker).
The price can leap over you SL as well, so instead of 100dollaras loss it might be 300
Once I was surprised that I had set a BUY LIMIT at 1.1700, and it opened at 1.1740...

After a few minutes of thinking, you’re right. Even a microsecond of delay at Oanda could overlap my SL and wipe out all potential profit from the opposite position.
Switching back to my standard approach — 3.5 lots and riding the clear movement.
