That 5 min gap at 16:35 (9:35 EDT) @ 1.1724 created a nice entry for long a hour later. Grabbed a quick 20 pips (played conservative). I feel like I had to relearn how to trade EU, thanks to Trump...

Im still bearish on eurusd, I will fully determine that by how dollar performs next week.

Iam still going strong towards the TP. Been holding on this trade for a couple of days. Been watching a lot of fluctuations going up and down on the daily candle but l knew eventually bullish orderblock will pave way for a bullish month of September

After Powell’s speech two weeks ago, I decided to wait for the NFP numbers – and if they turned out bad, I’d start buying every dip from then on.

Here we are now.

I am really hoping for a break of 1.17040 and a daily close below the downtrend line, If so we enter the daily wedge that has formed and as you can see we are sure to see a break one way or another.
My perspective is that there will be more pips down than up?
Bears may have used this opportunity to get liquidity in the market to give a final push down, if there is a close in the wedge i recon we will break the bottom trendline.
Thoughts?

I like your analysis, but you didn't consider Trump and fundamentals that can change things quickly..... Big guys are waiting to give the dollar some strength for the November and December holidays and dramas.

There are a lot of noise since Trump came back and we've all traders have seen that he's to be considered when trading.... Technicals and fundamentals... Now Trump.

I had a bearish analysis at the end of July, based on long-term timeframes and a thesis that long-term downtrend reversals are very prone to requiring a significant retest to confirm. That analysis weakened throughout August - corrections and retests can take place over price but also over time, or some combination.

I see chances of a retest of 1.11 target from July as weakened substantially, but not snuffed out. EUR has its own problems, and geopolitical risk has not been abating.

Trump wants low interest rates while also wanting strong jobs numbers and for everyone to look across the valley on tariff inflation. Data-driven, disciplined actors - such as the Fed and the markets - are correct to not be satisfied with "just trust me bro" economic handwaving from the administration. The administration may turn out to be right about everything ... or not. And if they do turn out to be right about everything, some of it will be luck, because some of any outcome is always luck.
