The Trading Structure = TICK TOK Setups
DROP everything and focus on Ranges and keep News in background.

Markets Moves In Ranges
SPX has a 67 points range
Bitcoin has 45000 points range
GOLD xauusd has 44 points range
EURUSD has 78 pips range
ETC....

Follow beginning and ending of moves
found usually at pullbacks or corrections
Then start the range count

The Rules: Not our rules. but the Deep Pockets Boys ( PAPER, SMART MONEY, ASSHOLES) they all have rules they can't step over, only paper can step over everyone and its called breakouts.

Beat them in their own rules.

EURUSD range is 77 today. see from bottom to top about 75 pips and done.
Once Range move complete, Deep Pockets stop playing cause they can't anymore. If they do, they will affect global economy.

I read something about this idea somewhere here in FF but curious about your why.
Also noticed you have some standard deviations plotted for the range .
Lets see how you play with it.

I use Average range, Initial balance daily and weekly.
the targets are based on .5, 1.0, and 1.2 SD standard deviation ( testing these levels, not much in use)
I look at Options Chain to find High Open interest and use those levels as final destination target.

SPX today has a 40 pt range. then at the open i look for a beginning of the move or wait for first 1/2 hour or 1hr to complete and place the range on either side
look at pic. have the range starting at 6451 to 6491

Would you mind to show some FX trades as you mentioned EURUSD in your first post?
In that chart you have trading range H & L but can't see from where they are plotted from or it's just an indicator canculating these values?
For the IB, is there a set timing for these I to be formed? I mean, just as example, from london open till 2 hrs in the trading sessions etc...

What are these boxes circled in red and why there are 2 of them in the trading day?

The circles boxes are first 1hr of the open Initial Balance IB Asia London and USA
Today EUR has 40pips possible move. Slow cause tomorrow is NFP, not much action BIG MONEY sitting on their hands.

Ok for Initial Balance. I use 1st 1/2 hr or 1hr of Open.
when the 1/2 hr IB becomes into play, we usually have Open Drive Day and Breakouts.
When the 1hr ib comes into play we get the average range move.

I only trade US session. but I do my homework on all sessions separately and the entire 24 hour as a whole

Which one do you use for trading?
You said EU ahs 40 pips possible move today. If so, based on which IB you derived this 40 pips?

Think this way.
Lets say eurusd has 40 pips move possible today.. and you trade London or US session. I Only trade US session
say i came into the market at open US session and looked back and saw that ASIA put in the 40 points, and London session took back the market in the opposite direction, I first look for TODAYS open or Yesterday's Close for market to move toward those points. Look at US session, they took price back up toward the open while remaining within the 40 pips move. Going back to Daily Open or Previous Close is called rebalancing the market before next move or leg up or down
I use Order flow and Market profile also to help me see the Flow of the market at the open
with that said, I look at Open Interest and try and find those points on the chain with HIGH OI open interest. to confirm my numbers

JUST A NOTE: OPTIONS CHAIN shows Dealer Positioning. that's where they are sitting and where market will go.

the most important thing is the range. finding the starting point for count can be from the swing low or high, or at session 1st hour high or low.
You will see it eventually with few days of practice.
I only trade SPX options but analysis is the same for all instruments


look at screenshot. Range completed with macro time now possible breakout of this range ( i doubt it cause NFP tomorrow) or reverse down toward 1st hour IB high

the range is for the entire day 24 hour, and i follow the beginning and ending of it within the sessions.. starting point and end point.

How are you able to use market profile, open interest, volume etc... on forex as it isn't a centralyzed market (unless you trade EU on future market)?

I use Market profile mainly ES NQ cause i only trade SPX SPY QQQ options.
I don't trade FOREX at all, I could trade EUR Futures and use orderflow and market profile, but i don't trade any instruments except for SPX options

First you need to know the AVERAGE TRUE RANGE or ADR to get an approximation of range. once you get the range which for SP500 ES SPX usually up to 65 points. but sometimes its 40 or 50 and I wait for a swing low or high around the open or first hour after the open, then I start the count
I look for 20 points trade within the move. when that happens, my CALL or PUT option on spx spy will increase by 1.40 or so, That's $140 per contract x 10 contracts.

All markets have ranges, I noticed that BITCOIN moves in 45000 pips then resets and starts another 45000 pips move to either side,
My Job is to find that Injunction or reset zone. and very much usually they end up near IB HIGH OR LOW and i use those as reference or entry

I watch the DAILY open and session daily open - Previous close and Settlement price for ES and if you are trading gold, you must use AM fix and PM fix from LBMA website. these are all references. and price points to keep an eye on.

EURUSD as my observation has a range between 40pips and 80 pips on good trending days. Just an observation. but i only want 20 pips for say. I would target that chunk in the middle from a good starting point.
here is how i look at it.
say price moved 30 points out the 50. that's above the mid point by 5 points and that's enough indication of trend continuation to complete the range. I will start looking at an entry point. I look at the first hour session IB initial balance and if price is above session open and above the first hour IB then the First hour IB becomes my entry with the trend.
It just takes few days of watching one market and you will be able to dance with the action
