I think we will see the market dropping to 1.16285
FVG before resuming up, A retracement is due market is too quiet but i have learned
Patience is key, rather one good trade then 5 bad ones

I personally don't think the market is ready to break through 1.175+ and make higher highs above 1.20+ without proper accumulation which makes me want to short. However this is the 2nd Friday in a row where the market has zipped straight up back to the top of the range few hours before the weekly close on Friday.

Maybe because there is no news we have been ranging between 1.16-1.17ish area for the last 23 days. Majority of retail traders are short which makes me uncomfortable with my short

I was hoping for today that the shoot straight up to 1.1708 would be a quick bear trap and we would close around 1.166 area or even 1.168 but price is really holding at 1.17 for the last 3 hours...

This is the end of the month as well, there was not much big news this week but next week there is so maybe we'll finally see some price movement then.

I drew what I was hoping for the last 2 weeks but we are still stuck in the same area... I hope to see this in the next 1-2 weeks

Powerful bullish strucutre... 1st bounce maybe from 1.1655 & if it fails then 2nd bounce maybe from 1.1584 area.

Quick H1 Outlook

  1. Friday was good, but real shark action came at the very end of the week and while I was pointing at this pattern with confidence, I was okay with taking profit a little early because it was late hour... All well!
  2. Now, for Monday I have 2 potential scenarios for you, from which I favor option (1) more:
  3. 1) Bears achieve a break below 1.1680 and we continue lower (mostly: thanks to shark and macd divergence)
  4. 2) Bulls keep price above 1.1680 and start pumping price up with an attempt to retest ~1.1705 area...

Let's see which one plays out...

Like many others, I’m waiting for the new month’s market open and the potential movements around the upcoming FED decisions. It should be interesting, especially from the 4th–5th of September. Last month wasn’t the easiest for me — I reached only about 110% of my minimum monthly target (counted in cash, not pips, since forex is my main source of income ).
As for the next two days:

  1. Friday’s closing price was 1.1685, after a sharp drop from 1.169x. I even managed to catch two nice small shorts at the end of the day , after the final pullback to 1.169x.
  2. Over the weekend, XE showed further drops, even down to 1.1588. Of course, that’s irrelevant, since without fresh fundamental news, the opening price will likely stay close to Friday’s close. Hovewer, the bearish dynamics are a signal worth noting.

In my humble opinion, we could see a visible drop toward 1.1640/1.1620, followed by a move north until the FED decisions. Alternatively, the pair might just range around 1.1700 and then push higher into the FED.
We’ll see. Experienced traders can explain this in a much more professional way — which we all appreciate

Solid analysis. I don't usually review ahead of time so as to not bias my own analysis but I'm finished with mine and enjoy everyone's perspective very much. Should be another great week.
Treading lightly for my part tonight/tomorrow (US/EST/GMT-4) due to pending news Tuesday. Everyone please do have a great week and keep the blue side up!

Yeah I felt that... I'm a little over-leveraged but not dramatically so... let's see!
Edit: Looks like a retest of 1.1700 shaping up.
