Rithmic is a feed service and they have their own platform. Rtrader isn’t user friendly at all and test it looks dated af. If I’m using Rithmic then use Quantower.

You can connect different platforms to Rithmic additionally to Quantower NinjaTrades, SierraChart ( my favorite )

Just got my 3rd Darwin allocated. All 3 are at HWM, will be rolling with 210K accross 3 in September.
Tradeify $1,500 from profit target of 9K....will purchase 4 more and then $200 per day copied accross 5.
TPT has about $500 ish to clear buffer and end the intraday trail on PRO account. Will grab 4 more here with 1st payout as well.
Not as exciting as Monty's 6K bag, but he's the rabbit, I'm the tortoise.

It's difficult because I'm not the type of person who wants to get involved in trading as a sidekick while working a regular job.

I currently still have income from my freelance work, but that's been getting worse and worse over the years, and it's just annoying that all the time I've invested in trading over the years hasn't even begun to show up in my bank account. Sometimes I wish I’ve never actually found out about trading… Most people I see/know/talk to are WAY happier than me and have the financial freedom to do what they like to do. It’s not that I don‘t like trading otherwise I probably would have given up on things long time ago but yeah if you keep spending hours for hours looking to achieve some „basic“ goal and you don’t, it’s exhausting/frustrating.

When do you know that you have a profitable system?

When you making at least 2% per week

The question I ask myself is this. Have a big savings account to regular withdraw from to pay the bills if things are not going well? Some rich uncle? A YouTube, Trading Course selling? I don’t have that current luxury of a million or even 100k in a savings account to „rely“ on in bad times. Also I wouldn’t want to regular withdraw from that just to consistently make it smaller. I want to regular withdraw from the brokers/props. At least that’s what i believe trading for living aka making regular income means.

Yeah, when you start worrying about will my system still be profitable tomorrow.......it's probably best to step away.
You have been to tainted, over analyzing every broker, every firm , every system....your mind is not wired for this.
As far as having a job....it provides EITHER financial frredom or time freedom and most cases NEITHER unless you are a professional (doctor, lawyer, engineer)

if your system has >2 years of forward tested live market profitability and has survived several losing streaks/drawdown periods with a >2.0 Sharpe/Sortino ratio... I would say you have a profitable system with a clear edge.

Just when I thought I was out they drag me back in... 5%ers + FTMO CFD's here I come!

This is nothing but bad news for the futures props... The US futures props greatly benefited from the exponential growth due to the stampede of banned former US CFD traders to their doorsteps, that growth has been over for quite some time... and Now here comes 2 of the oldest and most reputable CFD props with massive US mindshare back in the US prop market to reclaim their lost market share armed with static bal based drawdown & no payout buffer/safety net targets to clear in funded... FTMO also has a clear competitive market advantage as the only prop legitimately offering the popular metatrader platform in the US market.

for me pass rates on 1.3/1.5 target to DD 2 step evals with static DD is like 20% higher than EOD trail DD & 30% higher than Intraday trail DD.

drawdown for weeks/months

why would you hold a position that long in drawdown hoping its gonna come back.... you decide on your risk b4 getting in and if it hits you, your out... You need chips left after a series of losers to still be able to play.... Risk is the Holy Grail and the only way you will survive

work in a job is not losing, in fact 99% of daytraders will never beat an average job income ... you can invest from this money longterm in index ETF without invest time for this part. so choose your path wisely or how you learn trading!

You may have gotten the wrong impression. Yes, I am involved in many things related to trading, and admittedly, none of them have brought me closer to my goal so far, but to say that my head is not wired correctly is not accurate. If you have a concrete solution for how I can achieve my goal without continuing to search for help/information, please let me know.

What I said is that if you can't even earn minimum wage consistently month after month with trading despite investing a lot of time, it's nothing more than a hobby, and my impression from this forum after 15 years of looking around here confirms that 99.99% of the people here are no better off than I am.

My sister (two years younger) studied law for eight years (seven years less than I studied trading) and currently earns just under EUR 9,000 per month working a 50-hour week. She works from home 40-50% of the time. But you don't have to have a degree. A friend of mine works as a carpenter and earns EUR 4,800 a month working 42 hours a week. He doesn't work from home, but he still has a lot of free time. Another friend, with whom I built a large German website back in the day, earns just under EUR 300,000 a year and has been doing so for the last 10 years.

Now, I, who decided to go into trading in order to earn at least as much and still have some time for my life, am nowhere near achieving that. This is despite 10 million books, gurus, forums, and blogs that all tell you how easy it is to make a living from trading. Spot the mistake?

mate, he s not wrong when he said ur brain isn t wired for trading...cos if it was u would ve realised by now that the only strategy long term is risk management!
that s where u fail short from reading ur posts, and that s where i failed short till i learned to be a better loser..most strategies work more or less, but it s management that s key! i totally get ur frustration, but here s the kicker> stop strategy hopping, pick 1 that suits ur pesonality and stick with it and apply a fixed % risk for every trade. that is the holy grail in what i m concerned. just cos some people can t doesn t mean others won t! have a good 1

I'd not use an EA exclusively, instead I shoot for a fixed target every day (1/4-1/2% is ample) via manual trades and the EA/Bot when used is independently risk-managed ie never more than a set, small amount of available margin used to bolster returns. If you aren't wholly dependent on an EA then you don't have to worry about tomorrow...

TLDR: if you can manually place and manage trades with over 50% accuracy, and with over 1/1 RR ratio you likely already have a profitable method and need to simply keep going with proper position sizing/leverage.

Well, to be fair, the "clear the buffer" of a futures prop is similar to the stage 2 of a CFD prop.
But, yeah, FTMO is a giant, based on your latsest traffic updated, more traffic than the top 3 futures firms combined.
I posted earlier this week, other than my Tradeify STFs, I am gravitating towards the no consistency, no payout cap, daily payout firms....perhaps other futures firms will be forced to offer the same to survive the new GIANT player in the market
The good news is the FTMO US entity is following all of the US regulations as far as leverage, FIFO, no hedging, allowable instruments.....combine that with their size and reputation, I think they will be around a long time.
5%ers only offering CTrader to US, wonder why?
