most people set the sl around the same place, market movers can see where SLs are set and can easily wipe it out. They tend to be just above or below pivot points or targets.

i wish this could be a truth. but unfortnately not .. markets are runs by retail traders like you and me.

Brokers such as Oanda have an Order Book that you can use that shows where orders are gathered. But in essence as mentioned here, the SL is somewhere that is popular. The Oanda order book is updated hourly I think, not so easy to use Intraday.

if its just kissing it and bouncing, when ur setting ur tp and sl try put it a few pips away from where you would normally set it to allow some breathing room for ur trade. then add extra because others often do the same thing. so you gotta double up as other retail traders add extra too

retail traders are nothing compared to the market, we have hardly any impact on it, if any at all. think the figure is between 1-5% of the market is retail so not enough to make movements

I have a colleague from Poland named Rafal Zaorski. He has conducted live trading many times on public/youtube, and when he closing a position on USDJPY, it involved 1,500 lots. He moved the market by 30 pips.
