After closely watching the market all morning, I’m feeling tired. I’ve just opened a short at 1.1608 with a stop loss at 1.1622. CPI predictions are looking positive.

Based on M15, up until 1.1643, I stay bearish anyway... doesn't matter if price ranges until then...

My goal is to keep selling spikes and pullbacks as long M15 candles stay below 1.1643... Currently: 1.16195 is not a bad selling spot!

-DXY is having a big cluster above the current price. Lets see if it will hold CPI.

Ok... I normally could enter at 1.1644 but missed it while checking other things... Is well... I wait...

Remember: as long as no M15 candle closes above 1.16435, direction is down!

Muted reaction so far but with all the political jawboning of recent weeks, it seems the markets badly want USD rate cuts and pin their hopes on them. Yet, MoM core CPI was inline. The only thing contributing to the pop on headlines was a cooler YoY headline CPI print vs expected. YoY headline CPI is less of an indicator of short-term FOMC next actions than MoM core CPI. The markets are seeing what they want to see - for now. Thirsty for rate cuts even though the Fed continues to reiterate they are all about defeating inflation.

i love the news spike haha, it really gets things goin!

I accidently left more sell orders from yesterday so i didnt get the second entry i wanted but lets see how it goes

*If any M15 candle closes above 1.16435, I will try to get rid of this short order..

Latest statistics give a 5% of retail compared 95% of institutional fx traders... So, I agree, we are truly kinda "keep the change" type of addition...
