Got 2 payouts from Fundingticks. Submitted and approved within 10 hours. After Rise invitation and contact signed, money in account immediately.

Strangely, 1 payout request submitted 1 minute earlier has not been processed yet.

Excellent. Could be my new favourite especially with no consistency for funded accounts.

I agree with you, this is some serious BS. Definition, or at least how I have understood is in the name, TICK. not several ticsk as is the question in your case.
I see they flagged 4 trades if my calculations are correct - the top 3 trades from your photo + the 5th one (they amount to 917,04) and the dfference is your entry price and close price for those trades are between 2 and 3,1 points. Thats not tick scalping in my book, however I now see that they havent used that word in the letter, rather they say "exploiting the sim environment".
The difference in the other trades are 4,6 points and 6,1 points.
From their website I see "
FuturesElite allows microscalping within certain limits. A trade will be flagged as a scalp if any of the following conditions is met:
Scalp Conditions:

  1. More than 50% of trades are executed in under 10 seconds
  2. More than 50% of profits per trade are 5 points or less on the NQ (Nasdaq 100) futures, or the equivalent on other instruments

For custom accounts, you can enable Scalp Mode, which modifies the detection criteria:
When Scalp Mode is active, only trades held for less than 5 seconds will be classified as scalps.
You can get a scalping-enabled account by selecting Scalp Mode via the custom checkout. This will ensure only ultra-short positions (5 seconds or less) are flagged as scalps."
So that is probably why it was flagged. Enough for me to not try that firm. But I sincerely hope you get your money.

yes mofo i stoped purchasing them since last month... but i'll wont let them off the hook ... fighting for each dollar... wher ehte hell is t**k scalping there are total 8 trades and all of them are above 5mins or more and atleast of 2$ move on gold....

Congrats Maltrader. Good to hear as Im trying them out myself. Only trying one account as I cant find much info about them, so dont want to go in too deep at once. But nice to hear they payout. Im only on day 2 in the evaluation phase, but will let you know how I fare when/if I get there

I took a closer look at Topstep last night. Yes, they seem to be a fairly reputable company, and the rules seem relatively clear. I'll give it a try once I figure out how to make 2k/day to have the starting capital. I am still working on such a "trading plan".

-I think that it is an important distinction: aggressive trading vs. aggressive risk management.

The logic is simple, but maybe it is a bit controversial. It is a lot easier to flip 1K of your own money, than it is to flip 10K of your own money, even though the process is the same.

Trading aggressively allows you to pull out your initial investment much sooner, essentially allowing you to trade risk-free.

Certainly, you can put 10K into an account and earn 1K/month on that by trading conservatively, or, you could risk only 10% of that 10K and make the same amount of money (or more).

If you blow the account, you still have 9K. If you don't blow the account, maybe you start trading with the house's money after a week or two and your 10K is not tied up with your broker.

The process is similar for traders that elect to allocate only a small percentage of their capital with a broker that offers higher leverage.

The risk is relative. If you are risking 1% on a 10K account, that is $100 per trade. Your risk of ruin is the same if you are risking 10% on a 1K account (assuming you have the other 9K to trade with, if needed). Ultimately, you are still getting your 100 trades with each approach (assuming leverage and stop-out levels allow for this), but by trading with only 1K at a time, you minimize your risk simply by keeping most of your capital in-house.

The idea becomes amplified for those with higher win-rates, that can safely increase size as they pad the account.

i would say flipping a 1k account is same than a 10k account, both accounts are so very small that you can use any trading strategy for this and get not smallest problem to get orders filled. maybe you wanted to speak more about doing a 100k against a 1 million account you will see a lot of differences with different trading strategies (still 10 times bigger account, but you need to bring 900k multiply by leverage used more volume to the market and filled against the 9k multiply by leverage)?

in general your idea is ok with this small account size risky trading versus bigger account size not so aggressive trading is near same when done correct. but this only happens for beginners or medium level traders..... later you have your brokerage strategy accounts connnected and margin connected, so you have this beginner problems not any more and you hold a lot of money in your brokerage accounts and use for investing, longterm trading and shortterm (what you do at the moment). thatswhy you never hear good traders speak about such topics like flipping an account, because they simple grow the accounts bigger (if they dont additional diversify in real estate and other business areas ).

Was just going to post basically the same thing. I traded offshore due to US regulations for 4-5 years using 500:1 brokers.
I would deposit 10% of my actual capital across 5 brokers so 2% at each......the other 90% sat in my FDIC insured US bank account
The returns at each broker looked absurd, the returns on my actual total capital were much more normalized.
Did I have to occasionally dip into that other 90%.....of course.
Point being is if someone is trading aggresively with a 10K account daily, I am 99% confident, there is 100K roll or more backing it.
I'm also an avid poker player.....if I have a 10K roll dedicated for poker, I am sitting at the 1/2 NL table with a max buy in of $200
Prop firm example....I am able to extract $300-400 DAILY on a Tradeify account with 6K max loss....5-7% per day. I do not compound it, I trade the same risk every day. Withdrawal at the window, repeat. Should I build a buffer to reduce the risk of ruin....yes, probably as I understand at this rate I may blow the account some day and have to reinvest another $500

its difficult to say what is better.... if you have gambling strategy or be newer in market it sounds ok. but in general bring all the money and use it should bring much better returns (if your strategy not blocked the possibility to use all the money in the account ).

but you are right, both are ways to do so.... advantages and disadvantages in both ways.

OK, enough of the tiny, small 10K account talk........you seem to be above everyone here.......what size account do you trade. The way you talk down to everyone, it must be several million?

i do this over 20 years as full time trader, of course its a lot after a lot of time or i would search a job and earn more.

for your reference: 10k account is small not because i think is small money, its small because you can do any strategy inside without any problems get the trading amount filled ... so depends of the strategies 50k, 100k or some millions can be small, but 10k is always very small by definition. there are even strategies 10k is by definition to small.

I don't know you but you talk a lot of sense and appear to be grounded in reality. Good thread.
One question though: Is a firm like "Tradeify" or "tradeday" suitable for those of us resident within the UK ?

I wasn't boasting about trying to flip accounts, etc. A 10K account held for margin with 5 MNQ's ($500 margin used). There will be bad days but thats enough to stay in the game. There's several here who can extract more then $2k a day on a regular basis. Driven is one of them. But he, like myself has been trading futures (indicies) for a long time.

Every day these indices give away money and capturing it is not that difficult. There's a rhythm to them. I only trade after the 9:30 open.

Theres a reason why:

Typically between 9:45 and 11 a direction is made for the day.

That 10:00 candle can range anywhere from 100+ nearly every day.

I normally trade NQ and YM as well, same concept.

And yes I have been diversified for the past 5 years with other outside business included rental properties, storage, etc. As a result I may not trade every day.

Yes, on my day trading accounts......my aim is 1-2 trades and be done by 11.
Of course, does not ALWAYS work as planned, but 80% of the time, it does.
I still use my pivots for stops and targets, but entires are ALL price action based on 30 min and 5 min candles.
I am 90% ES and YM, I have soem higher risk accounts where I'll trade NQ and GC

What exactly is easier about that? If you can double 1k, you can double 10k. The math is the same: you need a 100% return.

What you're saying is putting less capital in an account and trading it more aggressively based on extreme leverage instead of using less leverage and more capital. Of course, it's always good to have to tie up less capital, but at what price can you achieve consistently high profits with small accounts? With extreme leverage, you run a much higher risk of constantly ruining your accounts before you've even made ANY profit to withdraw, due to the slightest movement against you. High leverage not only makes your profits grow faster, but also your losses.

If all you care about is "flipping" an account every now and then, you can go to the casino, and you'll either get lucky or you won't. To me, this sounds like gambling and not serious trading, where the aim should be (at least in my opinion) to risk as little as possible in order to achieve better returns in the long term after deducting all costs, time and inflation than with a passive investment.

Achieving such consistently high returns for weeks, days, months, or even years just sounds unrealistic to me. I'm happy to be proven wrong, but as I said, everything you hear and see here is just a lot of theory by people with obviously lots of time. Feel free to prove it to me, and you have my respect.

Calling a 10% consistent monthly return "conservative trading" (1k profit on 10k) is also a bit questionable to me, considering that you would not only beat the markets but probably also 99.9% of all other traders. Can you show me exactly how I can achieve a consistent 10% monthly return on a 10k account? Then I wouldn't have to write to this forum any more, and my financial problems would be solved for good...

You are just 1 of the hundreds of traders that are not posting and did not get their payouts. What you gonna do? Nothing..and these bucket shops know that.
