You don’t know how much I appreciate your message.
I did this to create a good community and help as much as possible, and when I saw what I saw… I was very disappointed.
Not only because it could harm me, but also because it could harm others.
But I will keep searching and improving.
I might add Heiken Ashi candles since I think they can filter out weak entries. Tomorrow I will run some tests, and if I like them, I will update the strategy descript

What can you suggest to make it more strong and reliable for one or two trades per day?

Frankly I think it has it all. Little bit looking after the price action or structure - is everything to add. Lщok at every long thread on FF: simple idea - overfiltering - trying to create a grail - ruin.

HA is another averaging tool. In other words you can just add any fast MA and wait for its crosses with your current MA12. But crosses are the worst method of using of MAs. Crosses of any lagging (averaging) intruments is a self faking - not a trend change marker.

Honestly candle (as an averaged data of price changes in a time unit) crossing MA12 - is the same averaging tools cross I just try to say that you don't need to add more and more the same algorythm based tools trying to improve the system. I'd propose just to look at structures (HH, LL, "trend" whatever you understand in it, recent serious levels) but not more idicators. Subjectively.

Also you have personal rules set like not using too long signal candles. I'd add some more little ideas to filter, for example:
is the signal candle solid?
are the wicks of the signal candle not too big?
is the signal candle body more above or below the MA12?

If you are still interested in manyMAs + oscillator + HA, look at https://www.forexfactory.com/thread/1288141-guppy-re-invented - Dr. Walvekar has created realy solid and stable system based on them already. But! Even there you have to take a look at trend structures, levels (, as for me - take only the first pullbacks in every trade).

As you mentioned as well.
Limiting to just first pullback as you suggested and good money management could be the answer.

Not posting often, but this one irked me... Bill Williams has never been recorded to have said that about the TDI/RSI - just because You (since80808) don't seem to understand the nuances of price action, the TDI/RSI tries to converse, it does not mean the information is useless or nor that it is just an overcomplicated MA... Once you understand it, it's brilliant... I'd take it over any Stochastic... Not dissing you, just asking to open your mind and see the possibilities that lie within... Just my 2 Cents

I'll give an example of what I think would be a perfect entry for the system:

We will classify this type of entry as a PA+ES entry (Price Action + Safe Stochastic)
In this case, our positive BE would have been triggered before reaching the required 1:2. It's up to the trader to choose the best option at any given time.

I also think that maybe 5M is too aggressive for this strategy, not because it isn’t effective, but because of commissions. Many times the BE is very close to the entry point and with commissions it would end up negative, something that happens in backtesting but with a lower commission. Solution? Trade on higher timeframes. I’d say 15M would be perfect

Hello Members, I just subbed to to this forum because of the simplicity of the method. It looks interesting, but rules are not very clear as to how to enter and exit. Seems as if people have their own opinions and "filters" to this strategy.

I am a developer and trader by profession. If something can be coded, I'll do it. This seems like a mechanical strategy that I could back-test on a 7 year period and come up with solid evidence and test its statistical significance to boost other people's confidence on this strategy.

We can do refinements and other stuff later on, but for now, I would like to have a concise and clear rules of this strategy that can be coded.

Hola miembros, me acabo de suscribir a este foro por la simplicidad del método. y comprobando su significancia estadística para aumentar la confianza de otros usuarios. Podemos hacer ajustes y otras cosas más adelante, pero por ahora, me gustaría tener reglas concisas y claras para esta estrategia que se puedan codificar.

Disculpen los comentarios desordenados. Es algo que se ha ido modificando y mejorando paso a paso. Según la descripción, así es como se realizará la operación.

La entrada será con la vela que rompa la EMA12, siempre que ésta sea fuerte (como máximo, la segunda vela).

El SL será el mínimo o máximo anterior y el TP tendrá un riesgo de 1:2 RR.

Fijaremos el BE una vez que el estocástico alcance el otro extremo, en el máximo o mínimo de la última vela que causó este movimiento (dependiendo de si es larga o corta). Si tienes alguna pregunta, pregúntame; es una estrategia muy mecánica.


Utilice BE cuando el precio alcance el 65% o 70% del movimiento


En las últimas imágenes de las publicaciones tenéis los mejores ejemplos.


Intentaré mostrarte algo de forma más visual. (La entrada siempre está al cierre de la vela)

There’s a way to eliminate so many stop losses, but I’d say it’s impossible to scalp because of commissions. The idea is that when the stochastic touches the opposite extreme to our entry, set it to BE. The thing is, sometimes the price reacts slowly and when you set BE, the price has barely moved. But naturally, without commissions, the result for March is +14%

Tomorrow I’ll try this method to see how it works out
