Big day today — FOMC decision coming up.
Markets are fully pricing in no rate change (hold at 4.25%–4.50%), and all 105 economists in the latest Reuters poll agree.
However, there’s growing internal division. Fed’s Waller and Bowman are hinting at rate cuts. Waller especially is flagging labor market weakness and wants a preemptive cut instead of waiting too long.
Also worth noting: Trump is back in the picture, pressuring for cuts. While the base case is still one cut in September, market expectations for multiple cuts this year are fading. 2025 outlook? Most expect just 1–2 cuts max.
Powell’s presser will be key. He’s likely to strike a cautious tone, stressing that policy is “well-positioned” and that they’ll need more time/data before moving.
Rumors flying about Powell’s replacement (his term ends May 2026). Trump may not wait that long. Names being floated: Kevin Warsh (hawk turned dove?), Waller, Hassett, even Treasury Sec. Bessent.
Keep an eye on forward guidance and the tone in the Q&A. If Powell signals concern about the labor market or leans dovish, expect volatility.

Euro is weak. Price is stuck between 1.1545 an d 1.1570. Taking buy or sell is risky in that zone. it is better to wait for a strong hourly close above or below first. Overall EU is still bearish though.

Market today looks really choppy. Lots of indecision so I choose to wait and watch where price breaks towards.

True, bears are still in control technically — but today’s FOMC could shift the tone.
If Powell leans dovish or even just highlights labor market softness, we might finally see a sentiment shift.
Until then, yeah… more waiting. Market’s clearly in “hold and react” mode.

Hourly closing bearish, Price may potentially test the major low at 1.1525. Let's see.

1. The CHoCH is formed because the price made a HH and then LL.
2. The huge red candle left imbalance in the market creating FVG of ( 103.6 ) PIPS.
3. The price had entered the LIQUID AREA on which it reacted multiple times.

1. DOWN TO THE 4H TIMEFRAME:

1. The only reason the price made a CHoCH is because the price had to mitigate the FVG of the 4H timeframe.
2. There are two reasons why we can call it a false breakout/CHoCH beacuse firstly the price had to fill the imbalance ,secondly the price entered a liquid area from where it is more likely to experience the reversal, and furthermore the price has left the imbalance in the market in the previous couple of days.
3. The price has filled the FVG of the 4H timeframe and is now taking a pullback on the FVG borders.

1. DOWN TO HOULRY TIMEFRAME:

1. This timeframe clearly shows the involvement of the institutions and firms as stoploss hunts are seen before a large bearish move.
2. Minor FVGs are created the price is filling one after another.
3. One last FVG is left below the current price which is not yet mitigated.

1. A DESCENDING TRIANGLE after an uptrend indicates possible reversal to downside.
2. This may be indication of the mitigation of the last FVG.

My short at 1.157 which was the perfect top but I was taken out last night at 1.15695 at "break even" which price didn't even get to..

Anyways I re-entered short at 1.15372 which I hate doing but glad I did. SL BE

Edit: My target is 1.1416 where I will long and expect us to go reach the 1.20 area or at the first REAL pullback from this massive 300 pip drop from 1.176 area

After last weeks "bull" shit and the last 3 days of "bear" shit, I am expecting an even greater "bull" shit to happen again with this news drop in 30 minutes
