Edge is better for trader in prop.....Let's say you have 5K in capital....do you put it in a personal account or go the prop route.
With a reasonable 2% gain per month, you can make $100 in a personal account.
If you take that 5K and divide it up into 50 trades at 2% each, but instead of taking a trade for $100 you purchase an eval for $100....1 trade with a 1:1.2 RR.
Even if it takes you 5 attempts ($500), your payout is $1,200.......140% ROI
If you go 1 for 5 on personal account, you are down $300.
If you have 1 million to put at risk in a personal account, perhaps a different story. Even 500K. If less than that your ROI FAR EXCEEDS with a prop vs. trading your own capital.

I did not take five tries. I pass eval in less than 3 to 4 days. At times, even within few hours.

Now, I feel, it is only my opinion though, not worth to be paying fees with regulation in question.

When regulated, i will really seriously think in buying prop firms evals. Untill then, i will only be watching for regulation.

Some people are like shameless vermins. Obviously shunned by others, yet keep appearing to try to forcefully mingle with.

Also, people with no money to purchase any evaluations should be barred from making up stories!

i understand your point.
i speak about edge in this kind: the house edge for prop company is much bigger against standard broker house edge. so your strategy needs to fit to overcompensate this additional house edge.

i trade already 20 years, so i cant compare me to a normal trader, of course for me the opportunity costs are so bad that i never could use any prop. i can understand that for beginners (of course after finding a strategy and leaned to be a trader, so can trade this way) with no money, and who can overcompensate the house edge of prop , can find a way to build up some balance.

-Agreed. Probably, specific rules or guidelines would be required that the firms must follow, along with proper oversight, because without healthy competition, they could simply operate like a monopoly and degrade their services over time while also hiking up prices etc.. We have seen already what can happen when these firms operate unchecked, without any accountability.

It is hard to place that kind of control on companies without government/regulatory involvement, which people usually do not want. Perhaps this is where the exchanges can step in. Whether or not the requirements set forth by the exchanges would result in a product that people still want to consider is another question.

Hi, pipmaster.

I have 4 accounts for Darwinex zero. One of them with permanent allocation, 3 of them annual subscription payments paid.

My EA is trading 3 currencies: AUDCAD, AUDNZD, NZDCAD.

The EA has such a setting: how much percentage balance to arrange for each same EA. In order not to be correlated, and without Margin call risk?

The developer of the EA says: If I use 30% of balance of the account with 3 pairs AUDCAD, AUDNZD, NZDCAD simultaneously -it will be fine.

Second account: 60% of base balance for AUDCAD (only that pair in the account).

Third account: 60% of base balance for AUDNZD (only that pair in the account).

Fourth account: 60% of base balance for NZDCAD (only that pair in the account).

Are single pair accounts balance % calculated properly? In order to be not correlated, I need to do that.

Can you tell me if I use 1 of single pair in each account - did I calculate properly that - for having the same risk with single pairs with currencies with 60% balance is it the same with 3 currency simultaneously with 30% balance.

I need to make sure in do everything properly. EA has around 2 years of live track record. Did I calculate the 3 pair account with balance of 30% - we will translate that to one pair acount 60% balance?

Do they have the same risk? 3 pairs with 30% balance instead of 1 pair with 2 times more (60%) balance %?

I do not want to lose permanent allocation payments.

In case you might wonder: One mmy darwinex accounts is: MUQP with permanent allocation. Not only for correlation - but also for margin call probability.

Only way to avoid correlation is not to trade on that day irrespective of currency. if you trade EUR/USD and AUD/NZD and make same 100$ at same day or time, it will be correlated, if days are changed and trade same pair it is not correlated.

I dont understand how does it matter? Darwinx only looks into profit made by darwin automated or manual doesn't matter.
if a darwin with 1 multipler trades 1 lot on EUR/USD and another darwin with 10 lots of 0.1 multplier trades gold with 1$ move technically they both are same trades as they make 100$ on that day. Darwinx lays out correlation like that for the current month if do same P&L daily you are corrlated. Irrespective of trader 1 makes 1000 trades a day or 1 trade if P&L is same it is considered as correlated.

First question that pops in my head is how large are you trading to be concerned about margin call? The risk engine is going to bring you to a 6.5 var, the profit made on the signal account is not what you will be paid on.
Now, I am a math guy, but I have no clue as to what you are explaining. However, I can help...... hop into Discord, english-chat and track down a guy called spreadcheat, he is a master of the risk engine and Var....he will probably provide the exact answer you are looking for.

Not sure if that is 100% accurate. Instrument traded has different Var and also the duration of trade increases/decreases risk.
You may be spot on, as I said, I am not sure.
It is definitely 100% someone trading 1 lot with a 1.0 multiplier and someone trading 10 lots with a 0.1 same instrument, same entry/exit, etc......will be paid the same.
We are paid on the moves we capture regardless of size of trade.
