Signals

In the new version we get an alert showing all historic alerts every time we change timeframe. That is not intended and it is anoying. I will fix that in the next version.

When changing timeframe, you only get the alert, if there is an alert on the last bar.

The alertmessage now includes the timeframe.

I have not tested it. Let me hear if it works.

Well, this is simple. We all know, that some of the best trades are when price bounce on a Moving Average. So any kind of bar with a long wick which penetrate the Moving Average and then bounce. Of cause it must be on a trending instrument.

So the Pinbar, Hammer or whatever we find is defined by the long wick that must be 2 times as large as rest of the bar. That's it. That is the signals my indicator gives.

Many people trade the signals just like that. I add the confluences from CCI and Stochastic.

My next plan is to find signals on the Daily and H4. If the signal is right, then we typically get a nice steep trend in the next bars. I will then put a robot at some lower timeframe, because I expect a trend in a certain direction. As we know, a robot cannot trade everything, but if you know that the coming bars will be good, then we can trust the robot to do the trading.

Machin - you are welcome to share some TV indicator. But I am sure that they are out there already.

You can add whatever you like. My indicator gives only the LongWick signals. When you get such a signal, you must evaluate the price action and the confluences you have on your chart.

You are right, and I checked the chart at my computer - it did neither give a signal.
I checked the code. My formula is correct: double EMASlow = iMA(NULL, 0, MAvalue, 0, MODE_EMA, PRICE_CLOSE, i+1);

I have seen this several times. The MA on the screen does not fit 100% to the formula in the indicator. There is a little difference, and in this case, MT4 have the Open of the bar over the MA. In that case there is no signal.

So we shall just be happy with the signals we get. There is nothing to do about it.
