There's EMA period=1
So when you say

Em, I was sure you were ironic saying
- Positive Displacement: Shifts the moving average to the right, making it a "leading" indicator, potentially helping to anticipate future price movements.
- Negative Displacement: Shifts the moving average to the left, making it a "lagging" indicator, similar to a standard moving average.

My attitude about everything around FF is something like Erebus (I think):
search for new ideas,
ask questions about every not undertood stuff,
laugh about any crap,
but point everything that can harm.
You're overcomplicating it, just use a 1 period MA on close shifted back 1 bar. If the close is above the line you sell and hold until the next bar, if the close is below the line you buy and hold until the next bar. 100% winrate what could go wrong?
Due to the -2 displacement, how do you know JUST NOW how the next candles will look? How you do you know JUST NOW if they will be above, below or between the MA's ?
Thread starter forgot to give you one more thing you need. Time machine.
