A few years ago I completely change my jobs patterns, so I work only in the evenings to have mornings OFF for trading.
That's the price I had to pay...
I tried to trade and scalp while at work, but it didn't work many times...
I learnt swing trading but there are so many news and events during the day that even though you need to be focused...
I mean you need to be focused unless you trade on a weekly TF...

Still waiting for a clean 5m Candle close on Bollinger(10,1.5) band might be a while still not sure how NY will close? Just no momentum. Maybe should sit out and wait for Asian Market

I have a 7 to 4 job but luckily NY opens at 3:30pm my time so by the time i get home i missed an hour of NY market, although it does kinda interfere when you have opens trades in at work..NY closes 10pm my time

Need to break and close below 1.27-1.26 region for any meaningful downward move. It should happen this week. Dont' get trapped in this up and down move.

I agree on waiting. Very uncertain on where it will move.. The rally was quite pathetic. The most obvious answer is up, but I will stay very wary of a weekly retracement continuing the downward trend.

Well Tradeview, I have to admit and have to give you credit that your near-term sniffer is not bad . We might print a red monthly candle but not that full blown engulfing on the weekly. However, the week and the month is not over.
After looking at the charts a bit closer, this is technically this is very probable.
In the DXY and the EUR chart bull/bear flags are now clear. Last week were the breakouts. The next days will be re-test of the upper/lower channel line. There it might turn around and continue.
My view at EUR up for the longer run (the next few month) still stands. But for the next days - maybe even the first days of the next month - it looks corrective.

The upper channel line comes in with the lower Bollinger Band (which will stand flat because we do not leave the range below 1.11). This is a typical turning point - which I am waiting for.

Equivalent, but inverse, the same story at the DXY.

Based on H1, picture is quite clear:

If you could sell anywhere between 1.1345-65, you simply wait with your stops minimum at breakeven: Zero risk!

Every other H1 trader who is not in a trade yet can relax and wait until price touches 1.1346 or until candles print a new breakout...

*Those who trade based on other timeframes should completely ignore this post!

We could even have an incomplete re-test because the 1.1200 support (last year August & September heights) might be strong.
Which would be coincide with the green trendline (52ma) which is very often a turning point too.

Quick WEEKLY Outlook

  1. My chart below shows a bearish breakout (thick red trendline) and a bullish breakout (thick blue trendline) clashing at the same level: ~1.1264 area!
  2. Whenever this happens, retail traders will become indecisive, because both sides now want to be sure which of these breakouts is actually the real one. That's why bears are currently forcing price lower to get a retest.
  3. All this happens in the shadows of the MOFU candle from 7 weeks ago. I marked the shadow of that candle with a slightly darker rectangle so it is easier to see the range. (hence the term: shadow). Shadows in bullish trends are where bears become more aggressive because they want to use these muddy waters to their advantage.
  4. Overall, I trade the H1 chart and weekly is only a bird's-eye view to me. In that regard, this situation gives me a little more confidence in selling based on H1, even though the overall trend is clearly bullish. Soon we will see if this paradox level: 1.1264 is truly supportive or not. Time will tell more!
