there is no method in the world that explains the movement of price mark your levels that you judge are good probability to bounce or reverse price and embrace uncertainty. manage your risk and trades good luck. trying to understand and give reasons to all price movements will lead you to frustration, it is not the way to approach trading , you are trading only probabilities and your beliefs, you need to be a good pocker player. accept uncertainty believe in your edge long term, you will have losses you will have drawdowns this is inevitable thats the nature of business, trading is not a science.

Thanks for sharing your perspective—I really appreciate it! I’ll definitely look into this more. But I’m curious—why do you believe there’s uncertainty in the market? Could you explain that a bit further? Where does this uncertainty come from? If it’s rooted in a mix of emotions, decisions, and algorithms, then shouldn’t there be a way for us to at least grasp it on a small scale and trade based on what we believe in? If so, the losses we take might end up outweighing the profits we make.
Sure, Forex is a complex system driven by decisions and IT, all working to keep the market in balance. Even unexpected events, news, emotions, and human choices add to this complexity, making a lot of people say uncertainty is just built into it—that there are no simple causes to point to. It’s like there are too many variables, and no matter what model we use, we’re bound to run into errors.
But what if we could tweak our beliefs based on the market’s relative order? If we accept uncertainty, master it, and work with it—without expecting everything to be 100% predictable—couldn’t we get closer to that “holy grail” we’re chasing? As long as we stick to the rules, we might just succeed. After all, we shape our own world based on the perceptions and beliefs we carry in our minds and lives.


But the last question:
Why shouldn't we not believe in the cause that creates the effect?

go to min 41 and see who is really smart money , there are many players, not ITs, or algos..., no secret signals (engulfs), no secret left shoulder..., with RTM method we are just guessing market direction and market structure and the levels that might bounce or reverse price, the other part is money management and psychology, there is no holy grail people are using other trading methods and are profitable with it thanks to their mindset and money management. shift your approach backtest accept you will lose many times, you will have drawdown, but believe if you stick to your method with applying good risk money management with strong mindset you can be profitable. course sellers dont want you to think that way, they are selling you dreams, they want to allure you that you need their secrets to succeed in this business which it not true, there is no holy grail or anything close to it.

Hi Doue,

I suggest you read this thread multiple times. IF has left all the clues to how the market moves. Take your time and absorb as much as possible. Keep asking questions.

On GBPUSD there is an engulf up on the Daily chart. MTF analysis is crucial if you want sustained success so get in the habit of making this part of your trading plan. Mark important zones on HTF's. Wait for LTF PA at these important levels. PA will guide you and help you understand the story.

I personally focus on origin of HTF eng, find BSZ near these zones. When LTF PA presents I trade.

What are you looking for? This thread / forum is Read The Market (RTM). I have never been part of the RTM Academy so I can't give any advice about it.

what I think is that since you are seeking for validation you will not make it, read this thread draw your rules and backtest make your own system. this very setup can win 5 times in a row and fail 5 times in a row ? so what will be your conclusion then? no body knows do your backtest after you are satisfied then execute your setups without hesitation and fear. nothing is certain in this business.

Hi benadil, thanks a lot for your opinion and guidance! I'm not a member of the RTM Academy, so I share my charts here to get feedback and advice from those who are in the academy or have good knowledge. I'm doing my best to succeed, and if you could point out any issues or guide me on how to improve, I’d be very grateful

good, I was afraid you would take my advice negatively but I am speaking to you from experience, this business should be a lonely path if you keep looking for other people opnion about setups, direction , market structure or anything related to trading you will be confused because no one on earth knows whether a level a zone will hold or not and if it holds how far price will go after reacting from it? so the best way to approach trading is to do your due diligence, yes supply demand trading can work or call it RTM methodology Redsword methodology smart money sam seiden,Sapari,... so look in this thread, look for SSR, kinks, flag limits, quasimodos, ignored quasimodos ignored supply ignored demand...., couple it with basic technichal analysis fake breakouts or tests of the highs and lows, trend structure, range structure, trend foloww when market is clearly trending, trade at the extrems and avoild middle of the range when market are range bound, top down analysis, then derive your rules for your system to backtest, then try with different targets half at 1R or 2R and full at 5R or 4R or or more partials, gather your statistics over 400 setups or at least 5 years data then when you are satisfied with your win rate drawdown profit factor.... and other performance metrics, forward test for 3 months, then if you are satisfied execute without hesitation and fear and stop seeking opinions frpm others because as I told you before no one will know wether the zone will hold or not, you will realize after experience that you are just trading probability and markets are really random nothing works all the time what matters is execution trading your plan without hesitation and sticking to it.

I noticed you’ve been a member of Forex Factory since 2012 and have been following RTM since 2017, so you clearly have a lot of experience. To clarify, I’m currently working full-time on a few trading plans, but I’m more focused on understanding what’s happening behind the market and how it works. I mostly trade on lower timeframes because I saw in the thread that some people say chart structure is the same across all timeframes, like viewing a 1-minute chart the same way as a weekly chart. I’m struggling with some concepts because I watched a course in my native language and then joined here, but some things are still confusing. I’ve been looking for answers in this thread; I’ve figured out some stuff, but a lot is still unclear. That’s why, for example, I post charts with RTM labels to see where I might be going wrong. I completely understand your point that trading is a lonely path, but I feel I need to fully grasp the concepts first to apply them correctly.

i am new to this forum, i recently found IF channel and saw all the videos on YouTube but i will still like to see any new updates or tweaks to the strategy IF shows in his videos. I can't find anything recent from IF regarding any trade and I am not in the academy neither. Just here to advance my knowledge more about this strategy, any help will be appreciated. well if you want my opinion on lower time frames, no I dont agree for me they are noisier compared to higher time frames, again many will tell you the opposite, they will tell you no 1 minute price action is similar to monthly price action , thats why in this business people have different opinions, some trade breakouts and are profitable, some trade false breakouts and are profitable, some are scalpers and are profitable, some are swing traders and are profitable, so simplify RTM go to sapari in youtube, he speaks about SNDs SRS QM False breakouts, you will have good understanding without complications , I advise you to look at market structure no less than 1hour and you can enter on 15min or 5 minute SNDS or kinks, backtest, backtest and backtest until your are satisfied with your return, drawdown, profit factor,... what matters most is that you need to be able to execute with discipline, follow your plan, your stop losses, entries, and take profits, good luck.

I tried myself many tweaks when I had hit some losing streak only to discover later that I have been trapped to strategy hoping, and hoping fo the secret or magical thing that will help me to avoid losses, losses are inevitable, drawdowns will happen, what I concluded is that I had to execute my setups no matter what, and let it go, but please I am just sharing my own experience.
