Well, let's try to make an advisor. Of course, there is a lot of subjective in this system .. But you can try to program 2-3 patterns.

Something different for a change ... I started trading a long time ago (2009) and found Phillip Nel's 4 Hour Strategy and though it was the holy grail (he warned it is not). I did learn l lot and it kept my hopes up that I will find something that works eventually ... and I did... eventually.

Long time no posting ... was busy with many things.
As for me currently... I am ultra-conservative and trade only higher timeframes (H4 mainly) with a very small % of my account.
I tried all the versions of trading that you can find (swing, scalp, position etc etc) and found that having a grid-trading bot with good risk management to take the trades, and me only managing them and sometimes adding if there is a good H4 impulse in progress, works the best for me.
Too much hands on and I only mess up everything.
It took me many years to realize that and find my own rhythm and then some more years to finally accept the fact that lower timeframes are not for me ... eish.
Phillip was sure right with his H4 time frame :-)
Now, at long last, my account is slowly but surely growing.
Any trader that read this and are currently making a net profit over a series of trades, and have confidence in his/her trading, please PM me.
I and a few other traders are starting an index fund and are looking for consistent traders to contribute (profit-sharing deal with no cost to the trader).

Hi and thanks for the interest.
No, I am not using Mr Nel's system 100%. I am utilizing the rhythm of the market and the H4 impulse waves. I still use the 21ema as a guide to the current trend to optimize and add trades. But the bulk of my trades are taken by a grid trading bot. It has a M15 trend direction filter, meaning that it is guided the M15 trend, which is the H4 waves, patterns-with-patterns or the fractal nature of the market. The bot does well when there is strong momentum, but gets stuck when the market channels. I then use the 21ema and basic support & resistance levels as a guide to add trades when momentum starts to come in again, to help the bot get un-stuck :-)
With regards to the Index Fund idea.
It is a modified, more stable and regulated way of copy trading... aka allowing traders that have confidence in their trading, to help newbies and people that realize that trading is more difficult that it seems at first.
But I do not want to step on toes here, so rather PM me then I will share further.
I am using this 4 Hour strategy only for the last month(Jan2007) as I have papertraded for 2 years trying everything and or system I could find. (I am trading equities for almost 10 years)I have decided that I will only go live(after some losses-not to serious) after I have studied the field of forex and are satisfied that I have a system that works. I do believe that we are trying to make it to impressive and difficult. This system is simple and easy to understand. I have backtested and forward tested it over more than 200 trades and it gives 300+...

May God continue to bless Phillip for all his efforts in this forum I chatted with him about a month ago and I believe he is in good health and aging gracefully... According to him, he is no longer trading - he is old now and relaxing with his family...I am very happy, because if you really take the time to go through his work here, you will discover that he has given out a complete trading strategy that works, and his posts and videos should answer all your questions.
I have moved to my own auto mechanical trading strategy, not because Phillip's system is not working, but when he updated his trading system and recommended that trading only the 4hour candle is becoming more difficult due to changes in market volatility over the years and he strongly encouraged going down to smaller time frames for better entries, but using the 4Hour Rhythm to do that...that was where my challenges began due to my other jobs condition, I preferred the 4Hour time frame as I can trade it alongside my job...I don't like sitting in front of my screen looking for trades in smaller time frames. The 4Hour is better for me....
So I painfully began to look for a way not to trade smaller time frames, then after a very rugged research and painful hard work I personally, from scratch put up the NAUSBOT 4Hour Trader which has quenched my thirst (you can check my profile to see the NAUSBOT 4Hour Trade I invented - with 7 years success track record)…December 2025 completed my success track record, 7 years...you can check on the update I just posted in the thread.
I also found out that the NAUSBOT 4Hour trader is also giving excellent signals that agree with Phillip Nel's 4 hour MACD Strategy. All to our success.

I downloaded the video back in the days...but I have switched computer and formatted my laptop from time to time, so I could not find it for you. But keep your heads up, I will still search through my backup hard drives, most likely is should be contained in one of them...once I get it, I shall post it here for you and for others who may be in need of it.

Aloha everyone,
I am still trading this strategy since 2010.
Never looking for anything else, since 2015... I guess, it is already a complete strategy. At least for me.
4H MACD Strategy can show me:
When to trade, when not to trade.
The Market Rhythm is the heart of this strategy and it helps me with any kind of financial asset, really.
From Indonesian common stocks, FX, at lately, I have used it to trade NAS 100.
Works very well.
But, the most important, is our mentality.
This strategy only a strategy.
How you trade it is what really matters.
