I'm still here trying to learn in the background. I stopped asking question because they seem to be upsetting when I asked them.

The strategy does work on the area you have shown gringo.. but what about when you get many areas like this and the candles just keep hovering up and down the ema 9 line?.. you can’t trade these areas they just go straight back to the ema 9.

mow I get why you taught us that the actual candle body has to cross the 9 ema to be a valid entry and exit.. now I know why you said that just the wicks crossing the 9 ema doesn’t count. I finally understand why you said that at the start. Thank you gringo

Using the 9 ema shifted 1 seems to be choppy when used for exits.

So a quick eye opener. You and CMPunk have switched from a 200ema cross to a 9ema cross strat. You're going to get torn apart following a simple mechanical rule. With the 9ema the main difference is its going to happen a lot quicker.

I have been trading this way for a long time with a few modifications
As i am reading this thread i noticed that a lot of traders are asking questions which no one can actually answer
In this post i will try to shed some light and hopefully steer some to get those answers, by asking you some questions
This is actually applicable to all new traders
1. Never ever think something is going to work just because someone else say it is
2. Have you written down your own rules for this strategy ? Entry points has been defined as well as exits
3. Have you actually back tested based on those rules ? Do this for the past 12 months
3. Have you devised a Money Management Plan ?
By doing the back testing you will know how far price can go against you. You will know the amount of orders you might have in a potential draw down. You will also know how long it will take for price to get back to your floating average.
Now you can start devising a MM plan for your own strategy.
Here is an example of my MMP being live
EU
1. Number of pips Draw Down =2600 Pips
2. Number of order = 35
3. Highest order in Draw Down = 300 Pips
4. Based on your own currency you can determine the amount you need to cover that. In my account it equates to 16% of capital as i trade other pairs as well
Trading is a business and need to be viewed as such

Once you have done this, you will have a much better understanding of the overall concept as given by gringo and friends
