Pivot Trading

it is a discretionary "system", so your results will differ from others.
The question is: will YOU be profitable with the help of this "system"?...
What is your risk managment, when will you cut trades if the trading environment is unfavorable?
Timing plays a big role, you might not be able to trade the high probability trades and so miss out on profits and so on..
Or if you are undisciplined and increase leverage in a market like we have seen recently/see right now with the euro you might get in trouble real fast..
Test it yourself and you will see how profitable you will be!
Davit advised that his Pivot Trading System is for advanced traders... so maybe it doesn't suit you right away...

Anyone who follows me knows that I trade ONE PAIR , USD/CAD.
PRICE ACTION always will be KING.
DAVIT'S amazing PIVOT POINT TRADING PROGRAM works exceptionally well ONLY IF YOU UNDERSTAND PRICE ACTION.
Just because PRICE reaches a specific SUPPORT or RESISTANCE LEVEL the PRICE ACTION does NOT have to respond in a particular manner such as a
retracement. YOU must understand exactly what PRICE is doing and WHERE IT WILL GO WITH A HIGH DEGREE OF PROBABILITY , NOT
CERTAINTY.

For example , if the USD/CAD moves from S61 to R61 , do you honestly think that I SHOULD BUY at R61 because of a HUGE MOMENTOUS MOVE ? I
would be buying HIGH , when , I SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT LOW , at S61 , IF , PRICE ACTION WAS EXHAUSTED TO THE DOWNSIDE. HOWEVER ,
PRICE ACTION could take this pair to R161 , IT CAN HAPPEN.
ALWAYS be aware of market moving News. Your WEEKLY CALENDAR is your BLUEPRINT for trading times. I f you want to put on a Trade before the NFP is
announced , YOU ARE GAMBLING , NOT TRADING. It's up to you. Stay away from train wrecks. With dedication AND discipline AND patience , anyone
can be a successful RETAIL TRADER. I firmly believe it because I am proof of it. Took me a few years , but I persevered. YOU CAN TOO !!!

The reason why you only trade USD/CAD is which exactly?
Is it a question of technicals, fundamentals, other?

The answer to your question is simple. Right here on this thread. 2233 pages of GOLDEN INFORMATION !!
This will sound ridiculous , but , (1) the trend is your friend , until it ends., (2) thousands of hours of chart time. Figure out what is going on. If price action is moving higher , THEN , put on your "Pivot Point Detective Hat" , and determine WHY price moved higher from a particular ZONE. Was it due to a significant News Event , etc. (3) Buy low , sell high. Are you buying /selling high within a ZONE. Every serious trader in the World is aware of Pivot Points , regardless of how the calculation of the Pivot Point is determined. Mark your high and low points of a move on a 1 hour AND a 4 hour chart. Do they correspond , are they NEAR THE SAME PRICE POINT ?. If not , mark out the high/low points of a move on the DAILY CHART. Are they NEAR one another ? You MUST teach yourself to interpret PRICE ACTION.
Since you've stated that you find price action "..conflicting and confusing....." , this tells me that YOU must put in a significant amount of chart time. When you reach this point in your trading , it will become clear , very clear.
Remember , Pivot Points are POINTS or LEVELS on a chart , they are very specific data points. Pivot Points are levels where you either ENTER OR EXIT a particular ZONE. There are times where price action reverses exactly on the Pivot Point , however , overall , it's RELATIVELY RARE. Price Action , USUALLY , bounces near a Pivot Point.
ANYONE can become a very profitable trader , imo. However , you must put in the time , lot's of time. If you think that you're going to be a millionaire overnight , I can't help you. I'm NOT a lucky person. Forex trading is a "marathon , not a sprint". Start with the goal of earning 5 PIPS PER DAY. When you can consistently do this for 60 trading days in a row , then , you will understand PRICE ACTION at a level that puts you in a position to become a millionaire. From that point on , it's just a matter of putting in more time , repeatedly.

Hi Yotobe.
The main reason is that I'm Canadian and I have a decent understanding of the economy's of the US as well as Canada.
Mostly technical trading , maybe 20% fundamentals at the most. News events give me a view , usually , of where the PROBABILITY OF A PRICE ACTION REVERSAL where occur , and , is almost always NEAR a Pivot Point.
Positive News doesn't guarantee me that PRICE is going to move in a particular direction.
Market structure is the key , and , it coincides with Davit's Pivot Points.
